Jayne Interstellar

A space pirate turned superhero.

By Novel AllenPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

In a galaxy far, far away a pirate baby gurl was born. Jayne's parents, her grandparents, and her grandparent's parents were pirates, and...well you get the picture.

Jayne loved the danger and excitement of her parent's lives. They never hid what they did and were quite famous.

As soon as she was old enough, Jayne went off to pirate school on Zycon-RX, her home planet. She finished top of her class in Thievery and General Maleficence, rating high in Cognitive Intelligence and Trickery.

Women hated her, she was bright and extremely beautiful, I hated her too, but in an idol worshipping, superhero genius kind of a way.

Across the Milky Way, where stars winked like gems, Jayne quickly became a notorious figure—a rogue, a swashbuckler...an interstellar pirate. They called her Jayne Interstellar, and her ship, the Menacing Marauder.

Her crew: a cybernetic tinkering engineer, a shape-shifting alien, and a sentient AI named Vespa.

They raided and plundered. But Jayne had a secret—a map leading to the fabled Nebula’s Heart, a treasure said to grant immortality or madness, depending on who told the tale.

One day, they intercepted a distress signal from a lone, battered ship leaking oxygen.

They found the crew dead, and a holographic star chart of the treasure. This was it...the ultimate prize. Jayne's heart quickened. Finally...a chance to realize her dream.

After great trials, at last, the nebula...and the treasure, a crystalline sphere, humming with power.

“Choose, mortal. Immortality or madness"? A voice.

Jayne hesitated.

“Choose"!

“Neither".

She shattered the crystal, energy flowed into her veins, illuminating her skin. She became a fusion of woman and nebula, a cosmic being.

Her crew sang songs of her transformation. They were no longer pirates; they were interstellar warriors.

They now fight for those who dare seek the impossible.
