As the storm raged on, Jacob was thrown into the abandoned church by the gang. Lying there in pain, Jacob suddenly heard a deep, resonant voice. "Fear not, young one. I am here to help you." Jacob looked around and saw the young dragon, whom he had seen earlier, looking at him with its kind, amber eyes. Jacob was scared, but he could sense a strange calmness and warmth emanating from the dragon. He somehow found the courage to ask, "What are you going to do?"

The dragon replied, "I will take you out of here and keep you safe. Hold on to my back." Jacob was in too much pain to argue or question the dragon's motives. He crawled to the dragon's back, holding on tightly to its scales, and they flew out of the church.

The dragon flew above the town and Jacob could see the tornado approaching. The dragon said, "Hold on tight, young one. We are going to face a storm of a lifetime." Jacob could hear the dragon's wings flapping against the wind, as they flew higher and higher until they were above the clouds. Jacob had never felt so alive, so free. The storm, the pain, the fear, everything was gone. All he could see was the world below him, with its lights and shadows, its beauty and its chaos.

But the dragon suddenly stopped, and Jacob could feel its body trembling. The dragon whispered, "I am sorry, young one. I cannot fly anymore. We are going to crash." Jacob closed his eyes, expecting the worst, but when he opened them, he saw that they were in a different place, a place he had never seen before.

It was a vast, green valley, with hills and mountains in the distance. The sun was rising, and the sky was painted with pink, orange, and purple hues. Jacob looked at the dragon and asked, "Where are we?"

The dragon replied, "This is Dragos, my home planet. I came here because I sensed that you needed help. You are a brave and kind-hearted soul, Jacob. You have shown courage and compassion, even when you were facing your worst fears. You are worthy of being a Dragon Rider."

Jacob was stunned. A Dragon Rider? Him? He had always been afraid of everything, including his own shadow. But there was something in the dragon's eyes that made him feel empowered, special, and chosen. He looked around, feeling a sense of awe and wonder that he had never experienced before. He could see other dragons, flying in the distance, some of them breathing fire, others spitting ice or lightning.

The dragon said, "You have a choice, Jacob. You can stay here, on Dragos, and learn the ways of the Dragons, or you can go back to your world, and face your own challenges, with the knowledge and skills you have acquired here. What do you choose?"

Jacob thought about it for a moment. He had always wanted to be free, to be brave, to be somebody. Now he had the chance to be all that and more. He said, "I want to learn. I want to stay here, and become a Dragon Rider."

The dragon nodded, and a smile appeared on its snout. "Very well, Jacob. You have made a wise choice. Welcome to Dragos, young Dragon Rider."

As the night wore on, the townspeople huddled in their homes, praying for safety from the impending tornado. Jacob, however, found himself in a most unexpected situation.

As he stumbled around the abandoned church, he suddenly heard a low rumble coming from the darkness. Heart pounding, he spun around, ready to face whatever monstrous creature lay in wait.
