Jack and the Peas

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Jack who lived with his mother. Jack's family was very poor and had only one cow.

One day, however, the cows were no longer able to milk. So the mother said, "Jack! Take the cows to town and sell them!"

Jack listened to his mother and set off with the cow.

On the way to town, Jack met a strange old man. The old man stopped him and said, "Young man! I'll trade these beans for your cow, okay? These are some magical beans that can grow as high as the sky in one night!"

"Magic beans? Are they real?"

"Of course it's true, how could I lie to you?" The old man replied.

So Jack traded the cow for beans.

Jack happily brought the beans to the house and showed them to his mother. However, he was scolded by his mother: "A big cow, only some small beans!" In a fit of anger, his mother threw the beans out the window.

The next morning, as soon as Jack woke up and found that there seemed to be something wrong outside the window, he quickly went outside with his mother to look. They saw that the beans thrown out of the window last night had grown very tall.

Jack thought to himself: "That old man is right, the beans really grow as high as the sky, what a wonderful bean."

He wanted to see how tall the beans had grown again, so he jumped onto the bean tree and climbed up the trunk.

Finally, Jack climbed to the top of the cloud; there, there was a road that stretched down, and Jack followed it all the way - and after a while, he found a huge castle.

At the door of the castle stood a huge fat woman.

"Granny, I'm so hungry, can you give me something to eat?" Jack asked.

"Ah! What a pity! This food is for you, hurry up and eat it! If you eat too slowly, my husband will come back and he will eat you!"

As the woman told Jack, she brought bread, soufflé, and milk.

However, at this moment, there was a huge sound of footsteps,

"My husband is back! My husband likes to eat children like you the most! Hurry up and hide."

The woman quickly hid Jack in the pot, and as soon as the bad giant entered the house, he said, "It smells so good! It smells like a delicious child!" The giant also sniffed around, hoping to find the child. However, the giant searched for a long time, but could not find Jack.

After the giant finished eating the two calves, he took out a lot of gold coins from the bag and counted them on the table. He fell asleep while counting...

At this time, Jack quickly climbed out of the pot, held a giant's gold coin bag, and slid down the bean trunk.

With these gold coins, Jack and his mother's life was much better.

However, soon after, the gold coins ran out.

So, Jack climbed up the bean tree again, came to the castle, hid, and after a while, the giant returned.

The giant put a hen on the table and said to the hen, "Hen, hen, hurry up and lay eggs!"

As soon as she finished speaking, the hen plopped down a golden egg.

Like last time, Jack waited until Ju Jin fell asleep before fleeing home with the hen in his arms.

The third time, Jack came to the giant's castle again. This time, the giant brought back a beautiful harp.

As soon as the giant put the harp on the table, the harp began to automatically make beautiful music, and Jack liked it very much.

As soon as Jack waited for the giant to fall asleep, he grabbed the harp and tried to run. But the harp screamed "Oops! Oops!"

The giant was awakened by a cry, got up and ran after Jack, who quickly slid down the bean tree.

"Don't run away! You little bastard!" The giant followed Jack and slid down the bean tree, shouting as he slid.

Jack was getting faster and faster in a hurry, and finally came to the ground. When he reached the ground, he shouted loudly into the house: "Mom! Give me the axe!"

Jack took the axe from his mother and quickly chopped the bean trunk hard. Finally, the tree finally fell, and the giant fell from mid-air to the ground, dying on the spot.

Since then, Jack and his mother have lived happily ever after, relying on the hen that lays golden eggs, accompanied by the harp that sings automatically.
