It's Okay to Write About It (in 500 Words)
Vocal Community Microfiction Series - Psyche
Describe a moment in your life when you experienced adversity and/or trauma and how you overcame it. (500 words)
Lindsey re-read the question. It was the last part of her University application and she found herself hesitating.
"It's okay to write about it," Lindsey's therapist had said.
"I don't want to, though."
"I know." She remembered how her therapist cooed like she was trying to calm some dumb bird. "All I'm saying is that you'll likely get accepted if you do."
Lindsey bit her lip.

The nightmares found her again.

Loved it. So much more was said here without being said.
Oh my. This is great.
Oh poor Lindsey! 🥺 This should be illegal!
It had to be good for something other than simply coming through it alive. But is it necessary to relive it, whether waking or dreaming?
Such a creative take -- a microstory within a microstory. So much is said in between the words.
Bravo
Well done!
