Is Care love?
Is booze love
The three men wobbled through the streets. Their leader had just gotten out of the hospital. His internal organs had been bleeding, because of all his drinking. Yet a half a hour after his medical stay, he was with his friends and drinking again. It was snowing, but they ignored the pretty white flakes, and slick roads.
The streets were nearly empty. There was a storm warning. He left the hospital band on , to explain why he was so late. He prepared himself for the drinking lecture he knew was coming. How true friends wiuldn't drink with him. He was flattered that she cared, but what would he do without his friends? After every detox stay he returned to his friends.
The subway was now closed. but they all went their seperate ways. In his drunk state, it would be a slow walk home.
But half way home , he saw her walking towards him. A angel surrounded by blowing snow. She practically carried him to their apartment. She saw the hospital band. He closed his mind to her lecture. He knew logic did not govern his actions. He was surprised that she was not angrier, She seemed resigned, calm and business like. Like one of the hospital workers.
Once home he was on his own. No love making or long conversations. These moments happened only when he was sober. She just got changed and went to bed. He was surprised that the love had lasted. this long.

True story in fiction form at its finest. It's sad when a loved one goes through this kind of relationship.
