Margie, Oliver and Quentin are walking home from school when they come across a mysterious abandoned house. “Yo can y’all believe Ms. Oday gave me detention for somethin’ that petty?” Oliver complained. “Actually we can.” Margie replied. “I mean you did download a remote control app that kept turning the tv off and on during third block.” Quentin laughed. “Well, that documentary she had us watching was kinda boring.” Oliver protested. “And that’s your opinion.” Margie replied. “Yes, Marge. And in my opinion if she had us watching a better documentary I would’ve been invested enough to not have downloaded a remote to mess with her bap ass Roku.” Oliver added sarcastically.

Their group laugh was interrupted as Quentin noticed the abandoned house on the corner. “Q, what are you staring at?” Oliver asked. “Have y’all ever noticed that the house at the end of the street has always been empty? It’s like we’ve all been living here since birth and I’ve never seen anybody move into that place in 15 years.” The trio goes mute at Quentin’s response and take a collective glance at the abandoned house. “Well, you guys have heard the stories about that house, right?” Margie asked.

“No.” Oliver replied. “”Well…what do they say about that house?” Quentin asked. “Well, Lorraine who sits next to me in American History-” “You mean the goth chick who looks like a live action version of the cat from Sabrina the Teenage Witch?” Oliver interrupted. “Yes, O and don’t compare her to a fictional sarcastic black cat. She’s actually a sweetheart when you get to know her.” “Well what did ms sweetness tell you about the last house on the left?” Oliver continued sarcastically. “She told me that the house at the end of the street is haunted by an incubus spirit.”

“What’s an incubus spirit?” Quentin asked curiously. “In ancient folklore it’s demonic male spirit that seeks to seduce women in their dreams, but this particular incubus was said to be spiritually bound to that house after a lifetime of torment on countless victims. Apparently a group of witches wanted to make sure what happened in that house never left.” “So what is said about the incubus’s movements now in the house?” Oliver asked.

“Well supposedly the spirit just torments anyone who crosses the threshold of the house. As soon as you enter the spirit overwhelms your conscience mind with visions of your greatest fear playing out in front of you for as long as you remain in the house.” “Okay that’s a load of bull.” Oliver shrugged off. “There’s only one way to find out.” Quentin began as he walked toward the house. “You’re going in?” Margie asked in a concerned tone. “Yeah, my boy ain’t no punk.” Oliver added. Quentin walked up the stairs of the house’s front porch and slowly opened the front door. The inside was dark and smelled like mold with a chill in the air.

Quentin walked three feet into the empty house very slowly while taking visual notes of his empty surroundings. He then turned back to look at Oliver and Margie as they both let out a nervous chuckle. “See?” Quentin started. “There’s nothing to be-” before Quentin could finish the front door violently slammed itself shut. “Q? QUENTIN?” Both Oliver and Margie called out as they banged on the front door struggling to turn the front door knob as it would not open. “Guys? Something-” as Quentin quickly tried to attempt a run for the front door a green phantom like spirit appeared above him which made him weak at the knees. “Welcome to your nightmare, young Quentin.” The spirit exclaimed in a menacing tone. As Quentin looked on in horror he turned around and saw numerous giant spiders crawling out of the dreary walls behind him. “AAAHHHH!!!” Quentin screamed as he tried to run from the spiders.

From beneath his feet the ground turned into a mushy liquid like substance that slowed him down as he attempted to flee. As he looked up in horror the incubus spirit above laughed maniacally. As the spiders began closing in on him, Quentin mustard up an angry sense of strength and pulled himself out of his liquid strong hold and made it to the front door. As he pulled from the inside Oliver and Margie came crashing in. They both fell to the floor and screamed in terror at the sight of the maniacal incubus. As they were both yelling and frozen in fear, Quentin grabbed them both by their collars and quickly forced all three of them out of the house. As the image of spiders chased them the incubus spirit grew bigger in the house staring at the exiting trio with an evil grin. As they fleeing trio looked back the door violently closed behind them.

The group then fell to the ground with exhaustion. “Oh man, you were right, Marge.” Oliver exclaimed. “Yeah, that thing almost killed me.” Quentin exhaled. “Guys we need to get out of here, there’s no telling what’s left of that spirit following our thoughts.” Margie concluded as the trio rose to their feet and ran away from the incubus home.
