Imagining the Sea

The young boy stared at the clock, counting down the minutes until he could escape the confines of his hospital room. He dreamed of the ocean, of waves crashing against the shore, of freedom. But as he closed his eyes, he felt a gentle touch on his hand. It was the nurse, who whispered, "Close your eyes and imagine the sea. You are there, you are free." And in that moment, he was.
