Her job hadn’t always been easy but the instructions were simple enough.

“Be creative. You’ll know what to do.”

Curiosity burrowed into Vivian. She couldn’t pass on this strange opportunity.

Her feet moved across the empty hall like ten-thousand-pound tentacled weights.

The door was third to the left. Bare, wooden, glossy, cold.

Inside was similar but with vaulted ceilings and lead-lined windows. A sprawling canvas covered the center of the room.

Puddles of tacky paint pooled haphazardly, some seeping into the wood-grain. There were no brushes in sight.

She paused, wading into the syrupy paint, letting it lure her deeper.
