Sometimes, the prettiest things don’t stick around for long. Like fireworks — they light up the sky briefly, or shooting stars — they streak by and vanish. Relationships are a lot like that, too. If we don’t take care of them, they can fade away.

I used to think my parents would always be there for me. They were patient and kind, letting me get away with a lot.

But as time went on, I took them for granted, and our bond weakened.

And my friends, I thought they’d always have my back. But real friendship needs more than just being around. It’s about understanding each other.

But if we don’t nurture those relationships, they can cool off, and we might end up feeling alone.

Love, I thought, would last forever once we found it. But I didn’t realize that it needs care and attention to thrive. The worst thing isn’t always cheating — it’s letting someone down when they need you.

Too many tears, too many letdowns, and eventually, one of us might decide to walk away.

I thought you’d get it, forgive me, and stick around. But I was wrong.

I didn’t see the bumps in the road or the storms ahead.

In this uncertain world, nothing lasts forever. No one has to put up with being ignored or treated unfairly.

Let’s promise not to let “I thought” ruin what we have. Instead, let’s work to keep our relationships strong and lasting.
