I STOPPED DOING EVERYTHING

And Started Doing Nothing

You think I stopped doing everything to start concentrating on something. Lol.

I wish that was the case. Instead, I stopped doing everything to start doing nothing.

Writing—not just writing, but everything else—has been a struggle lately.

First, it was from a place of laziness and busyness and exams, you know, and now I don't even know.

Many a time, I try to put out stuff... Okay, wait! Let’s put it this way.

I remember listening to a speaker advise his listeners not to take in rubbish content—not to read rubbish, listen to rubbish, or watch rubbish. He went on to encourage us not to read anything that does not add value to us.

I noted that point and told myself I would stop reading rubbish. Guess what else was affected? My writing.

It makes sense to know that it made me want to always put out meaningful content, but then I almost stopped writing because I would vet what I was writing a trillion times and end up not putting it out.

I also stopped writing random, basic, everyday articles. I would ask myself how my fight with the conductor would be of any value to the reader, how my conversation with a friend would be of value, or how what the preacher said would be of value. Even if it would be, sometimes I would struggle to take out the lesson in the write-ups, so it would make sense a bit but nothing would come of that.

It has been like that with everything else.

It has been a struggle. One minute I'm hyped up, and the next I'm begging myself to get up.

To be honest, my days have been a waste lately.

I honestly don't know, but I know I want things to get better; hopefully, this helps.
