I Need A Vacay... 🏖️🏝️🏖️
A Micro-fiction Story Based on Miss Annie Lee's Artwork! 🎨

The following microfiction piece that I wrote titled I Need A Vacay was inspired by uber-fabulous visual artist Annie Lee's lively painting above, titled Spin Cycle.
I Need A Vacay by Tiffany Gordon
It's Saturday afternoon, and my kids and I are currently at the laundry mat because our new matchbox-sized two-bedroom apartment has no laundry room. Sometimes I wonder what I am paying $2000 a month for. My crib is no bigger than a roach motel! 😂
Lord, these twin knee babies of mine are making mischief at my feet. Their big brother Bronzer is no better. He is using the open dryer door as a jungle gym as we speak.
Holy Smoke-A-Rooni, look at this place! The laundry mat manager is going to give us the boot when she comes back from lunch and sees how crazy and unkempt this place looks. Chile, it looks like a tornado threw up in here, and it was feasting mainly on toys and clothes!
Where is my Mr. Belvedere (my favorite TV butler) when I need him? He must be in Belize or Monte Carlo or some other fancy locale with his lady love.
Baby Maybelline, stop all that whining; my hands are full right now
I can't pick you up! And why aren't you wearing your shoes or your left sock, baby girl? I hope that that wasn't poison ivy that you were stomping around in this morning near the playground!
Lord, I need three of me to properly see about these hyperactive kiddos.
Even the Energizer Bunny would need a Martini and a timeout if he or she was babysitting them!
L'Oreal get down! You better not yank any more of those freshly washed $55 Egyptian towels that Nana bought me for my birthday onto the filthy floor, or else we will not be going to the petting zoo tomorrow!
Lord, please help a sister out! I need a vacay!
Thanks for stopping by!
Much Love,
Tiffa Go 🌸
