At Medieval Times:

"Aunt Lizzie, what are Mommy and Daddy doing?"

"They are fighting, love."

"But why?"

"They have a disagreement."

"Can't they just argue and yell, like they always do?"

"Not this time, love. It is a lot more serious now."

"How serious?"

"I hate to tell you, sweetie, but they wanna divorce."

"What divorce??? What about me?"

"I guess you'll go live with whoever survives, love."

"What??? Are they fighting to death?"

"No, but whoever loses will be put to death by the judge's sentence."

"Oh my God! It's so unfair!" (crying)

"Relax, sweetie, it's just a reenactment."

Author's note: This Drabble is inspired by a medieval combat manual I stumbled upon online. I'll write a longer story about this divorce law after I post the final grades for this semester. My grading crunch is almost over!
