Fingers tightly wound around handle, Lexi took aim. Tendons, muscles and bones working together to swing arm over head. Mallet struck wooden post; finally... unlike the last 16 attempts.
Triumph turned to confusion, then frustration, as warning lights flashed. The display lit up as signals traveled from the shattered humerus to the brain, and back, via the spine.
She vibrated with rage as the simulation ended. How were they supposed to work with such inferior tools?
“Again!” her teacher ordered, before addressing the class. “No one inhabits a human until you can ALL complete the simulation without breaking the host!”
