Dawn breaks on the farm as the sun's rays enter the house. The beast, Adam, awakes when the sun hits his eyes before the rooster can sing its morning song. He gets up from his makeshift bed on the floor and goes to the window to see the twin brothers standing outside in the distance. Ana is the second to wake up. She gets up from the couch that laid beside Adam and goes to him. She grabs his clawed hand, "is everything okay?" He continues to lock his gaze on the brothers, "it's time to go," he points at the brothers with a nod. Ana looks out of the window and sighs, "I'll get the others," she walks upstairs to retrieve Allie and Pearl. Adam doesn't withdraw his sight from the two brothers. Ana walks into the bedroom where the other two women are sleeping, "rise and shine. We got work to do." "Morning," Pearl gets up without retaliation, but the same does not go for Allie as she groans, "ten more minutes." "The brothers are already here. We gotta go," Ana commands. Pearl heads downstairs and towards Adam, "good morning, Adam. They're already here, huh?" "Morning, Pearl. Yes, it looks like they are men of their word. So far," Adam says still slightly distrustful of them. It was almost as if they put a spell on them last night, he thought. They had done as they were told without question and slept well, despite what had transpired. There was more to them than they let on, Adam believed. Meanwhile upstairs, Allie reluctantly gets up with some prodding from Ana, "fine, fine! I'm up." "They're right outside, so we gotta get going," Ana reiterates. "They couldn't even come in for breakfast? Jeez," Allie jokes and yawns. They head downstairs to regroup and meet the Brothers Grimm outside.
"Ah, there are our intrepid heroes," the first brother said. "Yes, quite fine additions to the bunch, are they not," asked the second brother. "Additions to the bunch," Pearl inquired as they walked to the brothers. "Why yes, additions to an already established bunch," the first brother answered. "Did you think to take on our mother and sisters, as you are," the second brother asked. "Who are the others," Adam asked frustrated. "More like you," the first brother said. "More vengeful souls wronged by our kin," the second brother added. "Quick, they await," the first brother demanded. "To our carriage! Tis our transportation," the second brother exclaimed. They headed to the carriage and got inside. "Classy," Allie commented as they entered. "So what's the plan gentlemen," Ana questioned. "Plan? You see them, you kill them," the first brother explained. "Very simple. To the point," the second brother added. "So you intend to just throw us to the wolves," Adam snarled. "Wolves? Oh no. There's just one," the first brother answered. "And he's with us. No need to throw you at him," the second brother further stated. "Are you two, idiots," Adam retorted. "No, I am Karl with a K," the first brother answered. "And I am Carl with a C," the second brother also answered. Adam stared for a moment and situated back into his seat, "this was a mistake and we're going to die." "We have weapons for you," Karl reassured. "Well, for the ladies. This beast is quite the weapon himself," Carl stated. Adam scoffed at the remark. The rest of the ride to their destination, the brothers went quiet while the group talked about their experiences with these monsters and tried to work out some plan of attack. However, since they didn't know what to expect, every aspect of any plan would surely fail to circumstance. The brothers offered no further information than to attack on sight, so the group was going in blind. It made everyone uneasy, but they've managed so far, so hope was something they needed to hold onto.
They had arrived at the rendezvous point where the others awaited. "Here we are," Karl exclaimed. "Time to join the others," Carl stated. They were about to get out of the carriage when Adam stopped them, "this could be an ambush. I'm stupid to only have thought of this now." Ana touched his arm, "we have to see this through, either way. Let's be careful, but we need to do this." Adam lowered his arm and nodded. "Look at Ana taming the beast, huh," Allie joked. Adam gave her a stern look. "Lighten up. If we're gonna die, at least let's enjoy our last little bit with each other," Allie explained. "We'll be alright, Adam. Let's finish this," Pearl said with resolve. They left the carriage and entered an abandoned house where the others waited. There were seven little men with long beards, a little girl with an axe alongside a big wolf, and what looked like a knight. "Ah, now we are all here," Karl exclaimed. "No time for introductions though. Our sisters have already reached our mother," Carl stated. "Then let's not dawdle. Boys," the leading dwarf shouted as the other hollered and followed him outside. The knight followed as well. "Shall we go, Ruby," the wolf spoke. "Yes Fen," Ruby, the little girl, answered. "Another animal that can talk. Must mean he was transformed too," Pearl said. "Probably the little guys too," Allie added. "Your choice of weapons and armour are on the walls over that way," Karl chimed in. "Choose wisely, and do make haste," Carl also added. They made their way to the weapon and armour racks and helped each other pick out weapons and put on armour. How medieval, Allie thought to herself. Once they were done, they headed outside, seemingly ready for battle. The others were further ahead, so one of the brothers took them by carriage to reach them before they got to the Everwinter Pond. Shortly after, they caught up and walked the rest of the way as the whole group. They arrived at their battleground and saw 4 women spellcasting on the frozen pond, so it was too late. "It has begun," Karl said. "They have awoken mother," Carl answered back. The group readied themselves for the battle as the ice cracked open in front of them. Then a giant, ghastly and hideous monster akin to a goose rose from the frozen pond, shrieking a horrific sound that shook the group to their cores. This unsettling visage with terrifying screams from the monster robbed all of sense. The seven dwarves lead the charge yelling and the others reluctantly followed suit. It was time for the final battle. End these monsters and end the nightmares.
