Hello

The room was crowded in the way that makes you feel alone. She stepped in and, as her eyes moved over the sea of faces, she stopped on one she knew. He looked up and froze, his eyes locked into hers. She walked over and leaned over the table.

The slightest smirk crept across her lips. “Hello.”

“Hello,” he managed.

“Honey, you’re staring,” she said, sitting down. “It’s like you love me already or something.” He watched her, the corners of his mouth tugging into a smile.

“I do.”

“Good. That makes two of us.”

Lucia, I liked this story! It felt like a couple meeting after a very long time or a married couple reuniting after a long day of work! Very sweet and reliable! Great work!
