-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

I know that I may sound crazy, and I probably am, after all;

but when you lay in bed at the end of a wearying and long day,

that's when I think you look your best, freshly showered,

breathing slowly, resting a whole; trying to leave the pain away.

-.-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

I know that I may sound like an idolater, and I probably am, after all;

but ogling at your dimly lit body magically touched by the room's light,

that's when I think you were made in Heaven, a mimic of an Angel,

sent down to grace us with your presence, brave soul, and mighty sight.

-.-.-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-

I can stay, hour after hour, sitting in silence, just gazing at you, enamored,

knowing for sure that I cannot wake you up, no matter my clatter,

being a heavy sleeper, honest to God, is the best feature I'm glad you have,

and, just for protection, I ensure I don't provoke any small or big shatter.

-.-.-.-*-*-*-*-*-*-

I can stay, hour after hour, so close that I can smell your exquisite perfume;

I never initiate physical contact as you need your time off, but I dream:

passing the palm of my hand by your spine, fiddling the back of your head,

sensing the softness in all of those curves, barely touching your skin,

-.-.-.-.-*-*-*-*-*-

I feel like I have known you forever, but I clearly remember how all started;

never sure if I was strong enough to approach such a spirit, shining and all,

and when you turned around and looked my way, smiling and dallying,

I had to crawl back, worthless and beaten, defeated, and feeling small.

-.-.-.-.-.-*-*-*-*-

And I felt like less than a teeny grain of dirt, dry grass, or the smallest bug,

not worth of anything, not even a word, from your magnanimous voice;

apprehensive thoughts, running untamed but in quietude, just for me,

unable to rise, somehow insecure, always afraid, just a lowly choice.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-*-*-*-

Let's go back to the simplest of tasks I enjoy so much to achieve, lovely one,

let me try to stay calm, abstracted on how in Hell you can exist in my time;

rest well, linger in dreams, don't rush to recoup from your daily routine,

I am here, watching over you, enduring the pain from my sins and crime.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-*-*-

Rest assured, I learned the ways to stay out of focus in silence, submissive,

after all of those times when I was lambasted, censured, dreadful and lost;

I'll close the gap between needs and desires we have present here,

taking all proper actions - even if it hurts me so much - no matter the cost.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-*-

Rest assured, I learned the truths and made up my mind about Us;

don't you worry more than needed, my ever sweet and ethereal Valentine,

I'll secure the gap left behind by the builders and make sure to tidy up,

with a merry heart, that little passage I made between your attic and mine.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
