Heavenly Heartlight and her cousin, Nathan, scampered into the snowy woods behind their houses. Upon approaching a frozen pond, Nathan grabbed Heavenly’s hand when he saw doubt on her face. They skated gingerly over the crystal cold pond. Reaching the other side, the couple of cousins got carried away with squeals of laughter as they lay in the puffy snow making snow angels. Purple and orange splashed the horizon as a chill crept through the air.

Then a snow quake shook the ground.

“Did you feel that, Nathan?” Heavenly’s whisper floated into the air.

Then the sun slipped out of the sky.

“We’re lost!” Nathan cried loudly. Tears fell from Heavenly’s eyes. Suddenly, the noise of squirrels chirping in sync with their cries made them both laugh out loud. The cousins’ hearts glowed.

Four snowmobiles skittered to the rescue ... Mama, Daddy, Aunt, and Uncle had seen the glows from the children's hearts light up the night sky.

On that blustery winter’s night, Heavenly and Nathan dined out with their family. Through the front window of the cozy restaurant, they saw a homeless family sitting outside in the cold. Heavenly’s family instantly recognized the glow of her heart. They smiled at her. Heavenly invited the family of four inside to join her family for a meal.

The glow of Heavenly’s heart shone brightly as her courageous act of love ignited the spirit of charity within others.

Heavenly hearts glowing sounds heavenly. We also need an impish heart shining above the not so good ones too. Maybe that would encourage them to be nicer.

I love the idea of children with glowing hearts and how families are attuned to them like beacons. What an amazing concept!
