Trying out writing stories under 50 words ...

Anyone who knows me will tell you I will use 337 words instead of the two needed whilst chatting, especially if a bit manic (I have bipolar) so I am challenging myself to write stories that are complete under 50 words. Here is my first attempt.

Gone Fishing

The fish was a big one, bigger than he had ever landed before. It had an unusual skin made up of gold coloured scales that, if the power plants chimneys hadn’t blocked out the sun, would certainly have shimmered.
