Ghosted
Austin’s untimely plight for closure.

I've drifted upon these azure waters for three long days. The boating accident was horrific.
Surviving on raw seaweed is detrimental. The saltiness has already induced the death throes of osmosis.
Hallucinations ------ delude.
My only companion is a curious dolphin I named, Fearless. He visits me often and can sense the distress I hemorrhage.
Today, he brought me a gift; the gold necklace I lost in deep water. He succeeds in causing a smile.
Life hangs, as the countdown to becoming an unsolved mystery has begun. My family knows I love them… my ghost will vacate this shell... soon.

Sad but compelling!
Wonderful characters and story!
Fearless is a great name for that dolphin. Maybe a future recurring character? Helpful and mischievous ocean spirit?
This is so great. Rich with depth!
This is great, Lamar. Really well done.
Pi vibes! Really enjoyed this one 😁
Awww, Fearless kept him company! So sweet!
Love this one!
Liked that Lamar, there's just a little room for hope, especially with Reckless in the picture!
I really enjoy these micro stories! I like that you chose the open ending, although inevitable.
I sense this one drifting..., but with a porpoise!
