Ghost in the House: Unsolved Mystery

Once upon a time there was a young couple (Rahul & Ramya) who lived in a small town. Rahul was working in a private bank and Ramya was an house wife.

They were leading a happy & contented life. One fine day

Rahul was promoted to next level in his office and as a result of it he got transferred to a nearby city. As they wanted to move to a new city , They started

searching for a house to rent. For some reason, they couldn't find an appropriate house to rent for a long time and finally they ended up with a beautiful house to rent.

The rent was affordable , but the problem they had was the neighbours who were literally asking them not to go for that house citing some unknown reasons. There were rumours

going around the house that there was something wrong about the house and the previous tenants were not happy living in it. Neighbours were also scaring them

about bad vibes in that house. On the other hand the couple brushed aside all rumours and were planning to rent the house.

On an auspicious day, they moved to the new house in the city. As days went by they really liked the house and also the city.

Rahul bought a new bike to commute to the office and their weekends were romantic enough with long rides, candle light dinners, late night movies, partying

and much more. The glory didn't last long, on a rainy day Rahul was struck in office to complete some important piece of work. There was power cut in the House

and Ramya move to terrace to pick up dresses put on for drying. Heavy wind was blowing and Ramya was little scared to stay alone.

She tried calling Rahul, but he couldn't pick it up due to work load. Ramya was almost shivering and eagerly waiting for Rahul to arrive. It was around 10 PM, Rahul came home

and couldn't find Ramya in the room. She was staying in the kitchen looking dull & disturbed. When he touched her she was shivering and the temperature was high.

He consoled her for being late and took her to hospital. Doctor advised her to take rest and gave few medicines to reduce fever. When they came back home, Ramya looked more frightened.

Rahul was annoyed as to what happened to her. He said that its a normal fever and will go off in few days. He hugged her politely and asked her not to worry.

He took leave for few days and stayed with her. Even though fever got reduced, Ramya looked little strange. She asked him to stay with her for few more days, but Rahul resisted as he

got multiple calls from his office to report back to work. She even asked him to take her to her Mom's house for few days as she as very much scared to stay at home alone.

Rahul promised to do it by the weekend and started to office. In the afternoon, Ramya called her and said she has severe headache and asked him if he could come home.

This time Rahul got irritated and asker her to take some tablets for headache. When Ramya called him back repeatedly, he switched off his phone.

That night when Rahul returned home, the lights were off and the door was not opened after repeated knocking.

When he broke open the door, he could see that Ramya was lying breathless. Instantly he was shivering for a moment and immediately called up on a doctor.

He tried multiple ways to bring her up but no response from her. He started crying and by the time doctor confirmed the inevitable. He was shocked to the core

and couldn't believe that Ramya passed away. The days has passed and still guilty consciousness was killing him day by day. His neighbours were scolding him about his negligence when They

warned about the house. Even now he still stayed in the house and started going to work after few months. To forget about what has happened he started consuming alcohol every day after work.

One night when he retuned home, to his surprise Ramya was standing near the door step. OMG!! He couldn't believe his eyes and how could this be possible.

She started asking many questions like why he is drunk every day & about his affair with new girl friend in office. He was awestruck about how she could know all these things.

He ran away from the house to his colleague's room nearby their office. He didn't mention what has happened in his house and requested his friend to accomodate him for few days.

Now Rahul had fever and stayed in his friend's room for few days. He couldn't sleep at all as the incident still haunted him everyday.

The reason behind Ramya's death is still a mystery, but he believed that it could be only due to ill health and his negligence. Now Ramya coming back to the house, is it real or ghost? He couldn't find answers

to any of the questions. If she is real, how can she come back after death, if she is ghost how does she know about all the day to day happenings in his life.

The next day, he took his new girl friend to his house. He was little scared to go alone, but to his surprise he couldn't find Ramya in the house. He was bit relieved.

The couple had a nice romantic night together in the house. Next day, they were back to work as usual. In the evening, his girl friend refused to join as she had other work to complete and promised to join him for the weekend.

This evening, when he went to the house again he saw Ramya standing at the door and questioning him by the day's happenings. She even made him feel guilty for having a new girl friend.

This time he confirmed to himself that it could be a ghost and ran away to this colleague's room as usual.

He narrated the full story to his friend. His colleague couldn't believe it and they both started to his house, but couldn't find Ramya in the house.

Rahul refused to stay there and they both returned. Now it is clear that Ramya shows up only when Rahul comes alone to home. His colleague gave an idea to solve this problem.

He took a book and wrapped it with a cover. He asked Rahul to take it to his house and do as requested by his colleague. This time Rahul went to his house and found Ramya standing near the door.

As usual she narrated everything happened on that day. She even commented about his girl friends dress colour.

Now he gave the book to her and asked her the number of words in that book. She couldn't answer and the next moment she disappeared. It was really hard for him to believe what has happened. His colleague's trick really worked.

Even after few more days as well he couldn't find Ramya in the house at all, but in spite of it he vacated the house and city as well for a new job.

He convinced himself that Ramya's death could be incidental , but his guilty consciousness created a ghost out of Ramya and moved on with his life.

He moved to a new city with his girl friend.
