we have crash landed!!!

where are we Tefaris? We are back on earth! what year is it? its 2187 Magnus. This is madness Magnus yells. Weve been asleep and drifiting through space for nearly one hundred and sixty years!!!

Magnus sits at the helm.

Magnus hits a button on the display. the solar blinds retract across the nose of the their ship. Magnus says look at the sky! Tefaris gasps! “across the horizon the entire atmosphere was a burnt orange color with hues of red and yellow the dirt was orange and red. there were three suns and 7 moons. the earth had been scorched while they were away”-

Well we had better get packing and prepared Tefaris we have a long walk ahead of us to the nearest outpost. the closest one is 27 miles the trip alone could take a few days to make it. so we had better pack light if we plan to make good time. Lets check the coms radio before we walk out of here.

Tefaris checks the coms “ earth this is sgt Tefaris with General Magnus we are the only passengers awake from cryo sleep our ship was pulled in by a black hole that spit us out ahead 160 years !!! we have crash landed 25-30 miles south east of the nearest outpost. requesting rescue for crew and passengers.

Tefaris looks over at Magnus while she waits for a response on the radio.

Hes holding a heart shaped locket hes staring into it. its a picture of his Wife Zorah his two sons Micah and Caleb their family dog Falcon.

Magnus sighs and accepts that his family is gone. Tefaris tries again on the radio but its silent. Magnus messes with the locket some more. Tefaris screaming into the coms radio someone anyone please send help! Magnus drops the locket and something falls out of the back of it its a piece of paper Magnus picks it up. unfolds the paper it reads- “ so you can always find your way back to me - zorah longitude 43 latitude 87

Magnus gives the paper to Tefaris Direct the Coms tower to these coordinates and try and get through to someone. Tefaris says these are from your wife! I know shes my guardian angel now.

Coms tower locked on coordinates says Tefaris. Tefaris move coms tower three degrees southwest the person murmurring comes in crisp and clear hello? hello? is there anyone out there? Tefaris yells yes yes we are here this is sgt Tefaris and General Magnus of USSE Horizon who is this!? This is Magnus USSE Horizon Memorial galactic observatory of interstellar communications. Did you say youre ship has crashed and that ship is the USSE Horizon? yes says Tefaris we are in need of emergency rescue for crew and passengers sending our location to you now.

The radio goes silent... Magnus is distraught ... they made a memorial for us after we left earth to seek out a new home for mankind when we didnt return within 20 years as planned. what happened to earth Tefaris?

I i dont know Magnus... the radio chimes Hello! Hello! this is Colonel Micah Magnus Horizon we are sending a transport to you now!!! Eta in 17 hours hold tight we are onthe way! Tefaris responds Copy that Colonel!

Well Tefaris we had better get some rest. Yeah we better Magnus.

The three suns rise the temperature is already three hundred degrees F by 6 am the rescue crew has landed 50 meters from USSE Horizon. moments later Magnus and Tefaris hear a kncok on the Docking bay hatch. Magnus opens the hatch and peers into the eyes of his great grandson Colonel Micah Magnus Horizon but he is not a young man he is the same age as Magnus. There was no time to talk during the rescue so the whole crew and passengers were loaded up and transported back to the Magnus USSE Horizon Galactic Memorial Observatory.

As Tefaris and Magnus enter the observatory they are pulled to the side and escorted to Colonel Horizon’s chambers.

What Happened after we left colonel? says Magnus.

11 years after the USSE Horizon left earth their was a great famine and wars and more war.

mankind nearly destroyed itself out of fear of starvation. but explain the three suns and the seven moons Colonel Horizon and why the earth is scorched and the sky is orange?

Well Magnus says Colonel Horizon “ they brought the suns here” what do you mean they? we have found intelligent life in the cosmos? Yes says Colonel Horizon but they are a warring species they came to make our planet habitable for themselves.

but it didnt work for them they did not expect us to fight back. for 80 years we fought them and in the last days of the war for the survival of mankind we vanquished them from our earth. They never returned. But our earth was left a barron wasteland desolate and decayed from the great war.

now the earth is only populated by a few thousand people the rest were victims of war. we had to use nukes to defeat them. and it destroyed our own planet because mankind is a fragile species and will destroy itself when faced with no other course of action.

Colonel can we be sent back through the blackhole back in time 1 year before USSE Horizons launch? its possible General Magnus we will have to fire up “The Gate” to get you and Tefaris back to your century. The Gate? says Magnus Yeah! its a BlackHole Creating Gateway that allows us to point your trajectory to the right timeline!!! we have tried going back before to stop the war with “ the gate” but we were never succesfull but we will be says Magnus!

Tefaris and Magnus travel back through the gate one year before launch of USSE Horizon to warn world Governments of our future and that if we launch USSE Horizon within 10 years earth will see an invasion of an alien species and the downfall of mankind.

Magnus and Tefaris shut downthe USSE Horizon Launch and returned home to their families.

Earth was safe. Magnus was safe. Zorah Micah and Caleb were safe.

But The Gate Remains.
