The full moon cast an eerie glow over the small town of Millfield. The streets were deserted, save for a lone figure walking down the sidewalk. His name was Jake, and he had always been drawn to the full moon. It made him feel alive in a way nothing else could.

As he walked, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. It wasn't just the full moon that had him on edge, though. There had been a string of strange occurrences in Millfield over the past few weeks. People were reporting seeing strange shapes and shadows moving in the darkness, and there had been a number of unexplained disappearances.

Jake didn't believe in ghosts or monsters, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding as he walked towards the edge of town. There was a clearing there that overlooked the hills, and he had always found it to be a peaceful spot. But tonight, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching him.

As he reached the clearing, he noticed something odd. There was a group of people gathered in the center, all facing towards the full moon. Jake had never seen anything like it before. They were all dressed in long, flowing robes, and they seemed to be chanting something in a language he didn't understand.

Jake was intrigued, and he approached the group cautiously. They didn't seem to notice him at first, but as he got closer, one of them turned and locked eyes with him. Jake froze. The woman's eyes were a bright, piercing blue, and they seemed to be looking right through him.

For a moment, Jake thought about turning around and leaving, but he couldn't resist the pull of the full moon. He stepped closer to the group and listened to their chanting. It was hypnotic, and he found himself getting lost in the rhythm of their words.

As the chanting reached a crescendo, something strange began to happen. The full moon seemed to grow brighter, and Jake felt a surge of energy coursing through his body. He could feel his heart racing, and his senses seemed to be heightened in a way he had never experienced before.

The woman who had locked eyes with him earlier stepped forward, holding out her hand. Jake hesitated for a moment, but then he took it. She led him to the center of the group, and they formed a circle around him.

The chanting grew louder, and Jake felt a sense of weightlessness. He looked up at the full moon, which was now so bright that he had to shield his eyes. And then, something strange happened. He felt a presence inside him, as if he was being possessed by something.

He tried to fight it, but he couldn't. The energy inside him grew stronger, and he could feel himself changing. His body grew hairier, and his senses sharpened even more. He felt a primal urge to howl, and he did.

The group around him joined in, and they howled at the full moon together. It was a strange, otherworldly sound, and Jake could feel the power of it coursing through him.

As the howling died down, Jake looked around at the group. They were all staring at him, and he could tell that they knew something he didn't. The woman who had led him to the center of the group spoke to him in a language he didn't understand.

He shook his head, trying to clear the fog in his mind. He didn't know what had just happened, but he knew that he didn't want to be a part of it anymore. He turned and ran, feeling a sense of fear and confusion.

As he ran back towards town, he could hear the howling of the group behind him. It was a sound that chilled him.
