The love of my life

I feel the love that spans the decades, from the moment I first set eyes upon you, to the day I leave this physical plane, and beyond. That love will always be ours.

Passionate, beautiful, true, real, destined, soulful, magical.

A love that encompasses all that we are, all the comes before and all that comes after.

My heart remembers and stores my precious memories, needing no reminders. A vessel filled to the brim with my love for you.

I gaze down upon your photograph. A vision frozen in time.

My last physical memento of you. Gone but never forgotten.

I was challenged by Jessica's Quill (Medium Writer) to write a drabble of the word 'photograph'.

Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :

A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.

About the Creator

Colleen Millsteed

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
