In the heart of a dark and cold valley a young man lay chained inside a cave. His wounds and torn clothing denoted ruthless treatment for a considerable time. He didn't know how he got there or what had happened the day before, even worse how to escape from those chains that burned like red-hot coal. Suddenly recent moments came to his mind in which he had been wandering freely through that gloomy place and had established contact with the beings that inhabited it, from whom he learned things that he had not even imagined in his earthly life. Then he understood why he was there, he became an imminent threat to the established order, something ironic for a place where everything was chaos and regret, but later he would have it clearer.

Without thinking twice he put into practice the powers learned from him and pronounced a spell that allowed him to transfer to the world of the living in exchange for bringing back an important piece for the dark being which he made a pact with, although more than a piece. it was a person. The young man knew that once he was outside he was not going to comply with the deal, but he did not imagine that one way or another he would end up fulfilling it indirectly against his will. Although spirited and cunning, the young man still had a lot to learn and if he doesn't play with fire, then darkness is even worse.

The way in which such an unusual act was to be carried out was through the possession of a body selected at random from those who were executing an invocation; These turned out to be a group of boys playing with ancient witchcraft artifacts they had found in the basement of an abandoned site. One of them, the calmest, would be whose soul would be exchanged with that of the “escapist.” After the astonishment and all the chaos that would be created by such an event, the boys asked the new subject who was among them who it was, to which he answered confidently (with a slight smile that denotes the beginning of a great plan): “I'm an underworld warrior, but you can call me Max.”

As expected, it did not take long for a chase to ensue. A whole horde of demons and monsters strangely began to pass easily through portals that opened through strategic places so that little by little the planet began to turn into a second hell. Max, although he was characterized by being indifferent to chaos, could not help but feel distressed because he knew that everything was his fault and that he had to fix it, but how to do it if they were looking for him too. Momentarily he stayed at the house of a girl who went to the same institute where he was now studying like any other young man, he explained to her everything that had happened since the invasion was broadcast on television anyway, although the channels were disappearing one after another and the city began to darken.

Second Part

The girl, whose name was Alice, with her marked insight suggested to Max that perhaps they were not looking for him and that his transfer was nothing more than an artifice planned from the beginning to allow the opening of the portals when the balance between them was destroyed. It existed between both worlds. At that moment Max could understand that he was nothing more than another piece of the game and that he could do little or nothing. However, like a flash of light, the deduction came to her mind that if those demons were achieving their objectives so far, what followed was obtaining the fundamental piece they were talking about. She remembered that they described her as a girl who had a aura of peace and goodness that had the symbol of a golden ram on its neck. Everything matched Alice and her family was Christian, but it was too late. An army of evil creatures arrived, invading every corner of the house, there seemed to be no way to escape; but Max again refused to obey fate and used the battle skills learned in the underworld to defend Alice. He attacked with all the ferocity and skill capable of destroying an entire army, he was as agile and lethal as possible even while taking serious damage to his body. Unfortunately, they took Alice away and Max, upon observing this, lost his concentration and ended up knocked out on the floor.

When he woke up he realized that he was missing an eye and had many open wounds all over his body. He was surprised to still be alive, since his immediate death was expected. With the little strength he had left he hit the ground several times and got up to go in search of the girl. Suddenly the place lit up so much that Max couldn't help but fall to the ground again, a glow capable of blinding any mortal eye spread while a tiny, winged figure approached him saying that he would help him find the girl but as long as not to intervene, since he had sufficiently unbalanced the order. So he had no choice but to accept but his curiosity led him to ask the reason for the divine help he was receiving; to which the creature replied: “Believe it or not, there are more attributes that unite us than those that separate us.”

Divinity and warrior went down to the underworld to rescue Alice but it was too late. The demons had tied her to a sacrificial altar while they performed a ritual with strange sounds that left Max's human ears useless and with fire everywhere. The tiny being warned him that in that case there was no other option but to return and prepare for the great battle whose field would be the earthly world. However, Max could not resign himself and even at a physical disadvantage he made his way through the hordes guarding the altar. He knew that just upon arriving he would no longer have the strength to even extend his arm but he was already too hurt to care so he did not hesitate. to continue until you arrive. At that moment he stood up as a monstrously huge and dark figure that was going to touch the girl for a kind of energy drainage. Time seemed to slow down at that moment and with the last breath of life that the determined warrior had left he stepped in and the dark beast absorbed everything he had left while he writhed in inhuman pain, immediately afterward the cherub arrived like a gust of wind taking advantage of the advantage, but he only managed to take the girl in a beam of light that rose until it crossed the Earth and reached the sky. Once the absorption was completed, all the demons returned to the abyss and the portals were closed, leaving only the fate of the one who sacrificed his second earthly existence undefined.
