From the Couch to a Novel

I like all weedy 30 somethings who don't fit, I have tried to write a novel. When I have a story idea, the first few days are so vivid with characters and plots. Yet I put off putting pen to paper because there my idea crumbles.

But when I have wrote 150,000 words? My dissertation was only 20,000. I realise I am trying to run a marathon before I can run 5k. I thought I would never run, but next week I am running a half marathon. So I will write short and grow to the big challenge.
