Free Will

They Shouldn't Have Come Here challenge - The Prompt: Write a story about an outsider arriving somewhere they do not understand, and what happens as a result.

The world was made by the Creator and when it was created, it was time to place the spirits on the planet. There were yellow spirits, white spirits, black spirits and red spirits. All equal in the Creators eyes.

The Creator made places for all the spirits to live and thrive. There was a place for yellow, white, black and red spirits. As soon as the spirits agreed to go make Earth their home, they were off. All except the red spirits.

They did not want to leave the Creator. They were happy right where they were at. The Creator told them that they would receive something that when they used this medicine they could speak directly to the Creator.

After receiving this kinickinick, they were off with the promise of having this immediate contact with Creator.

Creator placed these spirits where they fit best. As time went on though some of the spirits got restless and wanted to find out what was in other lands. Some people that were causing problems in their land were sent to these other lands.

It was never the way Creator planned, however these spirits have free will. Many people from other homelands were murdered. Many were made slaves. Many were forced to unlearn their language and ways that were Creator given.

Some thought they were the superior race, and had Creator given power to lead or destroy.

Many things changed over time. 'The unfamiliar things like cultural, social, physical, and even other too hard to name.'

Now in many places all colors of spirits are learning to live together. Not how the Creator meant for this planet, but with free will this is what happened. It is important to have free will. We don't always make the best choices though when we have choice.

In this country where millions of spirits were killed, where the culture was taken as was the language, the people are still here, still alive and well. Many surviving, still others thriving. There is hope for the next seven generations of our people.

There has been much focus on getting rid of the original occupants of this country over time. Some hidden, while other methods were not.

Boarding schools were meant to save the man and kill the Indian. Taking children from families, taking religious freedom away from the people, sterilization are a few of the many ways that have been used.

People here talk about how it has been similar to the holocaust. While research shows that Hitler gave credit to this country for what happened with the Indigenous people in this country, for the holocaust.

There can be very scary times ahead for those who may look different than the majority culture. It appears to be happening everywhere. There have always been two spirit people. Creator does not make mistakes. These are the people with special gifts.

The spirits who were medicine people, traditional healers, leaders with special gifts in this country, and other countries. It is concerning as to why the powers in the world are so scared of so few gifted spirits.

Well, maybe it is not so few as people say it's only 10% of the people. 1 in 10 can be scary, I suppose.

Outsiders arriving on this planet and then in this country of the USA were always welcome and maybe shouldn't have been. It's too late for that. We will do our very best to continue to survive and even thrive in this country, as we consider the next seven generations of spirits coming next!
