The elevator doors closed the second Orianna walked in. She was so excited to be attending a conference for the weekend. Friday the 13th- normally, the date would have deterred her from going, as she was very superstitious. Her girlfriend talked her into going this weekend; it was LA what could actually go wrong? Each night, the two girls planned to go out and dance.

Orianna smiled, scanned her hotel key, and pressed #24 for her floor. The lights flickered, giving her a weird feeling, but she ignored it. She had to get out of her comfort zone and get to her room; in an hour, there was a meet-and-greet, and she wanted to look her best.

The elevator light flickered again, and it jolted, stopping on floor 13. It couldn't be; no hotel in the world has a 13th floor. She pressed the button for floor 24 again. Then she heard a radio trying to come into focus: static. She instantly felt relieved, thinking that the problem was being solved and someone was working on the elevator until...

The static over the speaker cleared. The voice was distorted. Like the FBI
hiding an identity. The hair on the back of her neck stood up, and she was feeling panicked.

The voice on the radio said, "Get out"!

"No, no, she screamed. She pressed all the buttons; she pressed the panic button. Then the doors opened. Looking around, she backed up to the corner of the elevator, trying to hide behind her suitcase. All of a sudden, with a huge force, her hand got yanked forward, and she was out of the elevator. But no one was there. She turned towards the elevator, pressing buttons, and all she saw were floors 14 and 15. It was working, but it wouldn't open for her.

Orianna turned slowly, mascara running down her face. All she could see was flickering lights. Straight ahead of her was an open space, with hallways on each side and one in front of her. She was terrified, starting to sweat; her fingers were going numb. She felt like she was going to pass out.

The static sound came from the camera in the corner of the open space. The distorted voice was commanding her to walk forward to room 13. Orianna turned toward the elevator, pleading with it to open, crying hysterically.

She felt a jolt again, pushing her forward. She stumbled, trying to resist the push. The distorted voice came back on and said," Orianna either you listen, or you will be shackled."

Orianna felt bile in her mouth, trying to figure out what was going on. Was this some kind of joke? She turned around, looking at the camera, and said, "What do you want? Do you want money, or are you just playing a joke"?

The voice said, " Keep walking forward. We do not want money, nor is this any joke." She saw another camera turn red and watch her.

She stopped in front of room 13. With all her might, she did not want to go in. Then, all of a sudden, a force like no other picked her up, the door opened, and she was thrown onto the bed, 6 feet in front of her. She started screaming, shuffling backwards on the bed towards the head of the bed frame. Screaming, scrambling like a crab scuttling for its life.

The camera turned on, and a muffled, distorted voice said, "Kneel in front of the Ouija board now." Orianna stared at the camera, shaking her head no, but no sound came out of her mouth; she was just too terrified.

She felt her hair being tugged forward off the bed, and a push in front of the Ouija board. Then the camera turned off.

She looked around, stood up and ran to the door; it was locked. She heard a faint sound behind her. She turned and saw the mouse-like handle moving on the board. She knelt down to see what it was trying to say. Could this be a trap? Or should she try to communicate through the board? All of the horror movies she watched as a teenager said never to put your hands on a Ouija board by yourself, or you could become vulnerable and possessed.

She watched through the small hole to each letter. It printed out...Hello, my name is Bells. I died in this very room in 1913 on Friday the 13th. If you want to escape, I know how. Then the mouse stopped.

Orrianna ran to the door again and started banging on it until her knuckles bled. "Hey, you sick, distorted voice, let me out of here now. My dad is a cop, and he will find you and hunt you down.

The light turned on, and the distorted voice laughed and said, "No one will ever find you; there is no floor #13. You are trapped. You either make a deal with the evil source or die. Then the camera clicked off.

Three days later, very weak and dehydrated, Orrianna put her hands on the mouse. She had a plan to trick the evil sorcerer into telling her how to get out, but not to make any promises. She couldn't die here; she had people who loved her. Perhaps she could reach a dead person who died, and they could help her; not all dead people are evil. She remembered from horror movies that once you say goodbye, the evil can't come back. With a plan, she put her hands on the mouse.

Bells printed out how to escape. Orrianna promised Bells she would take the board with her, but first she had to say goodbye. So the evil Bells went straight to goodbye. Then, just as she was about to escape, the board printed out... RUN!

She threw a chair at the camera in the corner of the room, then found a key under the sink in the washroom. She wished the water was working in the sink because she was so dehydrated and weak. Orianna opened up the door, hauling a leg of the broken wooden chair. She ran to the camera as fast as she could and smashed the camera.

Doors on all sides of her opened and closed. She could hear moaning from each room, almost like each room had its own stories, but she couldn't look in to see if someone else needed saving. All she could envision was the words RUN. And that she did. The hallway became dark, and an eerie smog filled the hallways. Orrianna stopped to catch her breath as the fog-like substance filled her lungs.

Stumbling forward, her hand dragging along the walls, she knew she had one more hurdle to clear, and she was almost there. She couldn't reach the last camera to smash it. She felt defeated and started to cry. A girl, like a ghost, stood in the last doorway and watched her. She grabbed the chair leg from Orianna and held it above her head.

"No!" Orianna screamed

The ghost walked past her and smashed the camera. She faded away when Orianna stood up to thank her. But she was gone.

Orianna fell towards the elevator doors. The keypad Bells told her was at the bottom right-hand side, with a secret door; she entered the numbers as instructed. She turned around inside the elevator, and she saw the girl again. The ghost girl smiled at her, holding a torch, and touched a door. It went up in flames. Orianna fell to the floor; the doors closed.

When the doors closed, she felt at peace. She closed her eyes and hoped that she would be found. She felt that the ghost-like girl got revenge for her death and many others.
