Finding Nara
A story of Evolutions endless dance with Chaos

There weren't always dragons in the Valley. She couldn't help but mark that every morning, how it all had changed. Over the years and as obscurity ensued into every facet of her reality, she mantra'd the evolution of all she knew, to better accept the distortion she encountered every time she tried her hand at a reflective surface. Life was different now and had been redesigned so noticeably since the Great Strain, that sanity was hard to come by.
Absent mindedly she calls upon the elements, a mastery she had once coveted so harshly and now can only see vaguely in the peripherals of her prioritized accomplishments. The light of a beckoned flame, dancing upon a hand whose features are now greatly exaggerated. Fingertips that seem to be colored the shades of the revolutionary cellular transformation she has come by, in bioluminescent hues. A window frames a distant image of the Ingress Lunar Peaks, the remnants of what was once our great natural satellite - crashed to earth and through time. Each summit revealing a portal to the new worlds they all ran to - the mortals.
One day, a flare screamed out in agony and shattered the great lady. She remembered how her heart cried then, a centering having been ricocheted in all directions. She had found immortality long ago and this was her anchor. Having only reflected the sweet light and deep darkness of her skyborn Queen for longer than she dared attempt attaching memory to. Then it happened - The massive weight of the accumulated chaos sent a wave that overlapped and overhwhelmed absoluteness into the new. The chords of time were struck with such a blazen power that they ruptured inward and folded over, opening the skies where the pieces of her body fell and stopping the impact from decimating us all.
When our star broke the barrier, it bit and pulled at their skin, they ran towards the only light of hope they could literally see (Being ephemeral has always made humans ever literal in their pursuits). They drove themselves in and away, through with great barges, weapons and questionable intentions. Their egos still unsatiated and marching headlong into uncertainty...
** A flash of memories. Blazing cannons, superfluous greed, and a thirst for blood ***
...they never returned...
The ones who stayed, buried deep into the seas of sand. Protected there, by the cool and from the radioactive fury of their dying God. The recasting - however - could not be limited to 3 dimensional confines and engulfed us all. It was almost painless, from the shock.
She remembered how her limbs buckled, how her skin changed and how the glow of power, which once drove her to vantage points and tempted her urges - pulled inward and wrapped her in light. Her head now dawning large, solidified adornments where the keratin had merged and hardened. Her skin glowing when her mood changed and as she harnessed telekentic and telepathic connection from a once quiet Mother Planet.
"Margaret Ra'ven - the fearsome dark sweeping and fluttering of death" , it echoed in her memories - but she couldn't feel the wanting she had once felt or the driving call that used to twist and tighten around her immortality. She was anew - a new species - a new being - a new demanding. She was nameless, as the dragons were nameless - for they weren't dragons...they were other hidden divinities now cast open, re-molded, and released to protect the remnants of this place. This Earth.
The Sandbound had also broken through. Most of their safety had come upon them through the rapacity of their existence when their race had declared themselves Lords of the Universe; A pitiable artifice of perception. Upon resurfacing, they emerged ravenous and starving for purpose. Their bodies now changed to withstand the atmosphere in the spaces between the unpredictable climate and dimensional shifts.
The magic and all seeing of Mother Planet, had warned them all that they would return. "There is always an antithesis to higher frequencies, where chaos is meant to inspire evolution", She whispered while combing through their autonomy and weaving them together in the new world. They must be together now. In the light, together and ready to fight once more. Humanity has ever thrived on its appetite for conquest through destruction.
So here she was again, no longer hiding among the tides...but in view of the glow of other life and running from mortals, still.
Suddenly, the wind shifts direction. She can smell them. How did they go unnoticed for so long?! A stillness pounds against her consciousness - too still - Another shift!
"NARA!! LOOK THERE! NARA!! HURRY! DON'T LET IT GET AWAY!"
She calls the air within and circulates it around hollow bones. Darting across the night sky as her most recent dwelling is torn apart as so many before them.
A trembling and falling moonstone from the distant carcass of the Peaks and pedestled portals.
"Nara", she repeats to herself, "Theres that word again."
