"Finally, My Own Office!"
Drabble to promote my cheeky retirement send-off challenge
Dear Jeff, congratulations on your retirement!
For seven years, it's been my privilege to serve as your second-in-command. Seven wonderful, educational, character-building and patience-testing years.
People kept asking me, “When are you getting your own office?”
And I always said, “When the time is right.”
Well, apparently, the time is right now.
I wish you a long, happy and relaxing retirement filled with travel, hobbies, grandchildren, golf. Anything that keeps you happy, fulfilled, and, most importantly, far away from this regional office.
Don’t worry about us.
I’ll take it from here.
And please, take your time coming back to visit.
