Fiction Shorts word of the day: Meeting
“Was your wife having an affair Andrew?” the detective asks.
Andrew looks at the policeman in astonishment, unable to fathom the question. His wife’s been murdered, what right does he have to ask such a question?
“Was she meeting someone last night?” the detective persists.
Andrew continues to stare at this interloper who’s adamantly pressing every one of his buttons. How dare he?
Before he knew what thoughts were running through his brain, Andrew raises his hands, placing them around the detective’s neck and begins to throttle him in earnest, just as he’d done to his wife the night before.
This drabble has been written as part of the daily Drabble Drop challenge and today's random word, that must be included in the drabble, is 'meeting'.

A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful idea in a confined space.
