The seconds ticked down, slower than usual. She was waiting for what felt like forever; for her name to be called. Everything depended on what was inside that white envelope. Suddenly... there was a voice.
"Elisabeth Shaw" Came a deep feminine voice over the loud speakers. This was it, the moment her entire future depended on. If she would ever get a mortgage or live paycheck to paycheck.
She felt her hands and knees shake. Her eyes focused on the words, which gave her the greatest sense of relief within her.
It was finally time, for a good nights sleep.
