Ex
How to present the proper name of a Marine and how not do that.
“You say ‘ex’ like it’s the same as veteran or former. It’s like your ex-wife. She once was your wife but since the divorce she is no longer your wife. Same goes here,” Jesep Livermoore posited.
“So he’s not a Marine anymore?” Jalen Kasmen asked. “I mean what does it mean to be a Marine no longer in the Corps? Does it mean they continue to be part of the pack?”
“No. Not at all. Veteran or former Marines who remain honorable Devil Dogs and who stay to the code for life, it’s ‘Once a Marine, Always a Marine.’”
“Respect.”
