Episode #29 Found that Key where to look now for the secret door? The Doctor's house??

The closer you come to the doctor’s house the more eerie it looks and feels! You head for the back of the house while Jordan wanders off on her own elsewhere. Crawling through what is left of a kicked in back door, entering a large kitchen, a smashed porcelain sink ripped from the wall sits on the floor. From habit you flick the light switch on, to your surprise it works! An eerie darkness radiates from the kitchen corner, sweating negative energies catching your eye.

Instantly you make you way there, slowly inching through the kitchen thinking of how nice it once must have looked with oak cupboards, a marble countertop and double porcelain sink with a built-in china cabinet. An old ice box and potbelly stove still sits in their proper places with a broken double window between them.

You continue on taking first step into darkness, leading into the basement. Each step seems to find more darkness; a strong stench of death becomes stronger and stronger the closer you get to the basement. Once on the bottom stair a light begins to shine giving forth signs of a sacrificial pit sitting in the corner of the first room you walk through. A hole has been dug in what is now a dirt floor, you can tell a small animal’s life has been taken in that pit!

Stopping to say a prayer, “May you rest in peace poor fella. May your sacrifice never be used for evil.” You take a handful of dirt and with a blessing of purity you sprinkle it upon the animal and continue on your way.

Next you find what once must have been the most amazing sunroom, a wall of windows from the floor to the ceiling allowing sun to shine brightly upon your face spreading across entire exterior wall. You walk through a kicked in door even though no glass remains within these window frames. Once outside sadness sets in, every piece of possible living organism, be it trees, bushes, flowers or even weeds are all dead.

Like the life has been literally sucked out of them. Not even a bird or bug is in the sky. You walk around the backyard noticing how the house is built into the side of a hill just like your Uncle’s house out on the farm. To your right is found a hand chiseled stairway from a huge stone within the hill itself. As each of your feet takes a step up you imagine how strong the person would be to achieve such an amazing half circle staircase!

Walking around the back you run into Jordan, “Hey there! Are you alright, where have you been?”

“I was checking out the amazing handmade bridge over on this side.” Jordan points to your right, “Too bad everything is dead, there is some really nice bushes and trees over there. Where were you?” You answer with hesitation, “I was checking out the handmade staircase over here. I noticed everything is dead over there too. Wonder why?”

“Pretty creepy if you ask me. Should we go inside?” Jordan asks with a smirk on her face. Let me try the front door, see if it opens. We might find the secret door in here!” Jordan heads up the front stairs but unable to open the door, so she heads to the back door. “Wow, someone kicked the back door in. That’s rather rude wouldn’t you think?” She crawls through the door.

You can hear Jordan as you crawl through, “Oh my God, someone has totally destroyed this place, I can’t believe how rude some people can be!”

You notice how Jordan doesn’t even acknowledge the doorway to basement continuing on into the next room. You look over, only because there is now a beam of sunlight coming from the basement instead of darkness. Following Jordan there seems to be no major sign of further destruction until entering the living room.

You stand facing a mirrored wall covering all but where the fireplace resides. No wait, it is not around a fireplace rather it is only a reflection from the mirror across from the fireplace? Turning to get a better look, you notice the word REDRUM written, in blood, above the fireplace. Looking back into the mirror you again read it, MURDER! Next to this is a hand drawn upside-down picture of a cross with Lucifer, written in blood, circling around it.

Your stomach twinges, almost cramping, begging to repeat in your head instantly, “I pray the Great Devin may stop any evil being used within these walls. Keep it free from harm. No evil may ever roam freely within this home, ever!

From the hallway comes a voice, its not Jordan. You call out for Jordan, getting no response. Instead, all you hear is a man sobbing over his handmade spindles being damaged. Again, you hear a man’s voice, “Please, you have to help! They are destroying my home! Please help me! They are sucking the life out of my home!”

The harmony of baby birds chirping runs rampant through all three bedrooms on the second floor, drowning out a man’s voice. Sadness fills the air as you make your way upstairs noticing many broken hand carved spindles on your way by. At the top of the stairs is two smaller bedrooms on your left with master bedroom on your right.

Both smaller rooms have one window with a bird’s nest nestled close to the wall. Each containing two baby birds. Sparrows in one and robins in the other. The master bedroom contains two windows both with blue jays hovering above nests feeding their young. Such a beautiful sight.

When walking back towards the winding staircase you find Jordan looking confused, sitting on a stair with a broken spindle in her hands. Asking, “Can you hear a man’s voice? It’s saying, can you help me please, they are destroying my home!”

You answer with you own confusion settling in, “I thought I was hearing things. I’m not liking it in here, and I don’t think we are going to find any secret door in here either!” Goose bumps engulf your entire body, from top to bottom, filling you with an overwhelming urge to run.

Jordan responds with fear in her voice, “I agree lets get out of here!”

The two of you run arm in arm down the stairs and straight through the kitchen to the back door. Jordan gets to the back door first swinging it wide open and running outside without even looking back. You don’t even think twice running right behind Jordan, passing her once outside, heading right for the driveway located in front of the hospital. Jordan catches up with you just as you make it to the bottom of the hill.

Only to be met by Ralph, he walks up to you both, and with a sad look on his face he says, “Good evening ladies, sorry to advise you, you have chosen the incorrect building for finding the secret door. Your time has run out! You look over at Jordan pull the key out of your pocket and watch in horror as it vanishes! Turning into gold dust!

“Oh my God Jordan, did you see that?” “Yes, I think we are screwed now!”

Your adventure is over! Please try again!
