Tonight, you and Jordan have made the huge decision to go through the Ghost Tour, nervous excitement travels quickly through your body causing goose bumps to form rapidly across your skin. Thinking to yourself, “What is all this stuff? Is it real? What if a Ghost gets me and I can’t move? What then? Who is going to save me?”

You look around to how many different students are also going for the Ghost tour, finding more than what you thought would ever be attending. There is a light wave of chatter making its way towards you when you see someone coming your way. You are some what surprised to see the tour guide is pretty young, making you wonder how really it will be? Or better yet how safe you will all be when the Ghost’s attack you?

He slowly saunters into the foyer like he is apart to the group going on the tour himself. You just stand there watching to see if he will try scaring anybody before the tour even begins. Nope, instead he begins speaking in a very naturally deep voice!

“Good Evening all my name is Ralph, and I will be your Ghost Tour Guide this evening” Most students including you and Jordan gather in the foyer listening intensely to a younger bald-headed male tour guide continues to speak in his amazingly deep voice, “Follow me and please make sure you stay close to one another. They say that way the ghosts will leave you alone.” He chuckles quietly to himself, as he starts walking.

You follow behind Jordan half holding on to her sleeve, as our tour guide heads down the right side of the dual winding staircase right down to the lowest floor possible of hospital. The Guide begins speaking, “Can the last person please take on responsibility for closing and locking each door I open, so we don't get lost?”

You look back, chuckling to yourself, wondering who is going to be the unlucky soul that will have to get stuck behind everyone else, because of closing doors! Only to see who is the unlucky soul? You of course, who else?

Realizing that very same moment it’s your own soul you are chuckling over! How ironic, acknowledging back, “Yes, I'll get right on that!”

First door was easy to deal with. Slamming closed, scaring you half to death, you jump back in line faster then lightening, not even locking the door! Jordan chuckles, gently grabbing your arm with her left hand. Not able to see anything but pure darkness, following sounds of footsteps before you. You hear the Ghost Tour Guide as he opens a second door giving some dull light, just enough for you to find your way.

He explains, “This once was an X-ray area and over here”, pointing to a miniature metal-table with a sink drain in the middle, “This use to be the coroners area. But once more people were dying then what the caretaker could bury in a night, he began to store all the dead bodies, in this crawl space just beneath the main area of the hospital, he then opened it for all to see. You cringe with just a thought of dead people being piled on top of one another, never mind being kept underneath a “hospital”. Hearing “...and I'll pay fifty dollars to anybody who can last just one night alone in this very room the caretaker once slept in.”

So, are you crazy enough to take the challenge? If not don’t feel bad not everybody wants to try it, you can always continue with the Ghost tour instead?
