
I walked out of the office with the empty carrier, knowing things would never be the same. I didn’t want to go home. I knew how still and silent it would be.
Otto was the best boy. He was the love and the light of my last ten years. Every day, every night, he was the very best part of it all. My heart was just as empty as his carrier.
