"In 5 minutes! You're going on stage—5 minutes; that's it." Parker said breathlessly as if he had to let every other participant know about their turns.

Aurora gulped her nervousness, while she grabbed the lip gloss from the vanity to freshen up.

"I've never been this nervous and shaky before. At least never when it comes to performing the violin recital. Maybe because it's not the usual. The prince is right out there to witness my performance. He must be waiting to hear my Ethereal notes. But how would I stop myself from shaking and crumbling to see his magnificent eyes—The eyes I've been waiting and dreaming to see my entire life? Maybe the prince would join his hands together for me after I finish my performance; It's possible too that he hates it and calls his Royal guards...? Whatever he does, I just want to focus on his eyes and my notes. But how can I focus on both of them at the same time?" Aurora kept messing with her mind.

"Your Highness— in front of you the legendary violinist of this country in a minute." The drums started to beat. It was the royal call to Aurora.

Aurora was mumbling with her mind during the last 5 minutes. She even forgot to wear her heels which were a part of her uniform. She stumbled on her feet and she rushed to the stage—Alone Aurora and her Violin were now on the stage.

Carol of the Bells;

What else?

As soon as she started to pour her heart into the violin, she tried her best not to look into the eyes of the Prince. But right when the singer harmonized:

  • "Hark how the bells
  • Sweet silver bells"

Her fingers got some revealing magic and they worked on the violin at the speed of light. It wasn't that she was so lost in the symphony but inside she kept thinking about whether to make eye contact with the prince or not!

It was the Chorus of Carols of the Bells, when she—

She made the eye contact. Slowly she was forgetting every note that was carved in her brain for years. And after a few more moments of disrupting the rhythm—She dropped the Violin hanging in her hands. She was lost in the shimmer and golden effect that the eyes of the prince had. The prince was dwelling into her eyes too; as if he were confessing how mesmerizing she looked while performing.

She broke the silence and said:

"Lord, Caspian! I love you so much. I've dreamt of you since you and I were children. Forgive me, Lord, for I was drowned in the beauty and flashiness of your eyes. Would you allow me to stare into your deep ocean of gold for two more minutes? After that, I can have my punishment for my rude behavior; whatever you put me into—I'll endure it.

There was a silence. A deep silence. Prince thought for a moment and then motioned one of his Pages and hummed something into his ear.

Our kind Lord has saved you two more minutes of your life. You shall enter into his spellbinding eyes for 2 minutes but after that, you'll have to bear any punishment our Lord gives you.

The young soldier passed the order with a soft yet harsh tone.

"I accept it", said Aurora but this time with a more firm and accepting tone as if she knew what she was doing.

Those 2 minutes passed like a fraction of a second. For Aurora maybe it was the 10th part of an attosecond.

"Are you ready to hear your punishment?" said Lord Caspian in the Softest murmur.

Aurora said nothing.

I would have asked you in a better way by kneeling after the show. But, as it's your punishment now. I ought to say;

"Aurora Luxe! I love you too. You have to be my wife. You have to marry me!"

Aurora froze to the ground, but the snow on her feet didn't look like it would do any harm to her. It was the most beautiful shock situation that she had ever gotten into.

Aurora was finding it tough and almost impossible to say YES in the best manner...

"I do! I will... I accept it... I mean.................. Yes! My Lord, I will."

She almost forgot which statement she had to answer.

The curtains were closed and Aurora was brought to the backstage. She couldn't believe her eyes. Her dreams and desires were all fulfilled in a single frame.

"Pinch me, Parker! Pinch me... It's not real, right?", Aurora said in the most desperate voice.

Parker did nothing but smile.

---

In 5 minutes! You're going on stage—5 minutes; that's it." Parker said breathlessly...

Aurora? Aurora? Aurora!!!

Wake up? You're asleep again... The show's about to start.

Aurora woke up from her nap, her lipstick was looking rough; half on her arm.

"I said you to pinch me. Huh!

I hate you, Parker." Aurora said while facing the mirror.
