After the shooting, TSL’s profile in the police community was elevated. They took on the crime doers by shooting a video with him. He talked about the importance of gun safety especially for children.

“It’s nothing. I’m just happy to show how to properly clean, handle, fire, and secure these weapons,” TSL said as if he were making his case for entry into some mystical land. He stated it with intent and the notion of seeing soemthing different.

He entered the Starlight with Julisia intent on making the next few concerts work.

“We’ve got six dates in the state. It starts in Newark,” she said.

TSL brushed his waves as she spoke.

“There’s going to be a show in Middletown. We played them last year.”

“I remember.”

“Alright we end where we began, home.”

“If I could just reconcile this game with the police. That’s my next point on my agenda. I’m going to make sure that cops get their fair share in the eyes of this music.”

Julisia looked at TSL with a bit of admiration and charm mixed together. It was an intoxicating glance. She almost put him under a spell. Almost. The time that she held this glance bordered on a connection to some ancient statue.

“You know you’re great right?”

“I know.”

She laughed lightly. Then, her phone flashed.

“It’s another crime driven by prejudice.”

“I know what you’re saying. I hate the anti-concept ‘hate crime,’ too. What is it this time?”

“A synagogue is being spray painted.”

The Starlight once again morphed and they donned their tactical gear. The couple took on their role as special agents even though they were civilians and in the entertainment realm.

Once they were in the vicinity, they brought all of their intelligence with them. They had to use their smarts or they would not catch these culprits.

TSL talked to the dispatch. “They’re three of them. They’re moving quickly but we’re tailing them.”

“We’ll have a squad car out on this particular investigation. Thanks again, for making the call.”

TSL told Arnaldo to keep going but a few paces away from the vehicle.

“If we just get a little closer though….” Julisia said.

“Yes, but not that close.”

Next, the vehicle with the culprits sped up. A police car came from behind the Starlight. It sped up with sirens blaring and lights flashing. The Starlight moved out of the way. The officer gave a sign that she’ll be taking it from here.

The Starlight made an exit for the apartment. When they arrived, they removed their gear and hung it up.

“How can we keep this going?” Julisia asked.

“What’s that?”

“This double life of you being an MC and working for the cops. How do we reconcile the two?”

“It’s simple, Jules. You’re going to keep feeding me information and we’re going to ride on the vicious factions who represent the lowest levels of humanity. We can continue to be in entertainment and still help the cops.”

“We already help the cops with taxation.”

“That’s true, but you know what I mean. It’s something that is powerful in what we do. We’re clandestine and we’re taking this as far as we can. Besides, I like making videos about cleaner, lubricant, and preservation.”

“I know. But after what happened in Rehoboth, someone is out there doing something nefarious that directly affects both of us.”

Julisia turned into a stone. She was beautiful angel at a cemetary frozen in time forever or at least a few seconds.

“I’m not about either of us being hurt behind any of this.

“Don’t you worry about it.”
