The Goulding Lightray transformed back into a luxury vehicle. TSL and Julisia soon found themselves on a long stretch of road. She studied the reports online.

“That’s our guy!” She exclaimed. A turn of the screen made it possible for TSL to view it.

“The money’s going to the family.”

“Why? Nobody gave your family any money.”

“That’s because I found them, remember?”

Julisia exhaled. “This is supposed to be a business. In business you make money. We should start a charity, then.”

An exclamation mark colored Top Shelf’s face.

“That’s exactly what I’ll do. We’ll do it. We can start a clandestine organization that benefits families of those who have been slain or severely injured by gang and other violent actions. Goddamn, baby. You have the best ideas.”

“Sure.”

TSL looked at the various groups that had already formed and decided on a name.

“Snitchery,” he said.

“It rings,” Julisia acknowledged.

“We can funnel the funds we earn right into the account and make it secret who it is that runs it. Since 501 (c) (3)’s don’t have to report the same taxes as corporations and are exempt in a lot of ways, we could make a fortune for these families.”

Julisia turned to TSL and smiled. “It was your idea, babe. I’m just here for the ride.”

Top Shelf kissed her face and neck in a pecking motion.

“You’re goddamn right.”

The Lightray continued on its journey to their house.

TSL recalled the voice command to open the gates. The luxury apartment seemed so plush. Everything sat in its proper place. The fixtures had been brushed steel and heated marble floors kept them both warm on these chilly winter days.

“I think we should talk about how we’re going to go forward with the business. I know you want a non-profit—”

“It’s still profitable if you reap spiritual benefits from it.”

“Of course, babe. But what I mean is there is a chance where we might slip up….”

“No, never that. We don’t slip, we get our men. We aid the cops in trying to help carch these nefarious figures.”

“I’m riding with you. I truly am, but if something goes sideways, we’re going to have to eat that. We’re going to have it bring our guns and blaze on them.”

“Never that. I know you mean metaphorically but even then, we can’t rise up against them. Our cover will be blown. The uniforms and detectives are all going to be saddened by the losses of Anton “TSL” Horace and Julisia Abrhams. We will be mourned but we won’t be here to see it.”

“I just want us to be safe. You’re doing shows and handling this suspect mess at the same time. It’s going to be a matter of time before they find out that a famous rapper is a snitch off hours. Our safety has to come first. This residence has to come first. I just want it to be over.”

“It will be when the last piece of scum is removed from the streets of Wilmington and peace flows over the land.”

“I want to see that day.”

“Then stand by me. I have a righteous cause in doing this. This is all selfishness I’m showing.”

“I know you’re a good and selfish person. You’re good because you’re selfish. You’re someone I can stay on the team and root from the sidelines for, because you are that man,” Julisia said. She pecked his cheek and then ran upstairs.

TSL looked at the metrics of forming a tax exempt organization.
