There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. In fact it was thought that dragons had gone extinct. That was until I met one. I had just gotten to college, a supernatural college. I myself am a witch, from the coven of Silver Lake. I was pleased that no one from my coven was coming here. I was excited to start the next chapter of my life. After I arrived at Valley University I dropped my boxes and bag in my dorm and headed to the campus bookstore for supplies for my classes.

I got my needed textbooks and school supplies and went to stand in line. When I got there that is when I noticed him. He turned around as I was approaching so I could see that he was gorgeous with his blue eyes twinkling at me, I could see his nose was crooked but in a way that really made him look delish. His arms looked strong and safe. His hands I could tell were calloused like he worked with them daily. His tight shirt clung to his chiseled chest and abs. His jeans were tight in all the right places so I could tell that he had an ass and that he did not skip his leg days. Taking a deep breath of the air and focusing my eyes on his Aura told me that he was a shifter of some kind. I felt this pull towards him and a need to get to know all about him. Cursing myself, I hated that I needed to know everything about him. My body, mind and magic were going to be all kinds of disarray now or they will be soon if I don’t get to know him more.

Getting in line behind me was a tall wonder of yum. Talk about your tall, dark and handsome. This one had to be almost 6 feet tall with tribal tattoos up and down his arms. He too was wearing a skin tight top not leaving anything to the imagination here. Other than what other tattoos he had poking up from under his shirt collar. He didn’t skip leg day either. His hands were dirty, but not the kind of dirty like he forgot to wash them more like he was used to being in dirt and it was embedded in his skin. I could tell he was a shifter of some kind as well but not being around a lot of shifters in my life this was a bit new for me. I was fairly certain that tall, dark and handsome behind me was a wolf shifter.

I make a mental note to start working out at the gym the next day. Clearly these two were going to be worth my money to work out in a gym every day. After paying for my books and supplies I head to the dining hall to grab a bite to eat. I noticed that both tall, dark and handsome and delicious are grabbing a table together. I grab my pizza, chips and pop and head over to join them.

“Do you mind if I join you two?” I ask, setting my tray down.

“Huh, of course, please.” replies the delicious looking one.

“Names Alfred.” Alfred states as his hand comes out to meet mine. So tall, dark and handsome is named Alfred. Interesting.

“Thanks, mine is Willow.” I reply as I shake Alfred’s hand.

“Mine name is Diesel, Diesel Jones.” Diesel states. I can tell that he is nervous.

“Nice to meet both of you.” I state. I see both Diesel and Alfred take a sniff. They know I am a witch I am sure by this point. I see Alfred’s eyes widen.

“You’re a witch.” States Alfred in a hushed tone.

“Yes I am.” I reply, not sure what the big deal is. I am sure there is more than just me here. “You are aware this is a university designed for supernaturals, right?”

“Huh, wait no, I mean, I haven’t ever met a good witch.” Alfred stutters out.

“Well now you have.” I smile back.

“How do we know you are a good witch?” asks Diesel.

“Excellent question, I guess you don’t know if I am a good witch or not. You’ll just have to take me at face value. Just like I have to take it that you are a good person as well.” I reply as I start eating my pizza and chips, not breaking eye contact. Knowing this is also a challenge for any kind of shifter.

“She’s got a point.” says Alfred. I see both Diesel and Alfred exchange looks.

“So now that you know what I am, it would be rude not to tell me what you are.” I state the obvious.

“He’s a wolf,” Diesels says “and I am a dragon.” As Diesel says he is a dragon my mouth drops open.

“You’re a what?” I ask

“Dragon.” Diesel answers. I look over towards Alfred to see him just as shocked as I am.

“I’m sorry what, how, when, how, where?” I rapidly fire out. Pausing, I take a deep breath breathing out slowly.“I’m sorry, I have never met a dragon shifter before. I thought you all had died out. It is an honor to meet you. What do you plan to major in?” I ask intrigued and seriously wondering so much more about Diesel the dragon.

“Clearly, no one has. Even my kind thought you all died out.” Alfred chimes in, seeming to have gotten himself together again after Diesel’s big reveal.

Suddenly both boys bolt up out of their seats and start running towards the door. Before I can even throw my hands up to freeze the room they are out the doors.
