He stood like the Lion from The Wizard of Oz. His back straight and chin canted, he held a broomstick for a scepter. A rug became his mantle. Christopher White’s slate black skin clashed with the resplendent floral rug of black and gold with white trimming.
“Don’t make me king!” His brother Ashman shouted. It interrupted Christopher's whole flow.
He placed the stole at his side. “Ash?”
“What? It’s about earning it. America rejected that king and queen stuff and became the noblest nation in history.”
“Yes, that may be true…but the idea….”
“It’s about making your own way here.”
