The newly created beings of world bliss were arriving this morning. Guardians were busy locating their new charges. Magnus reached the dorm where the girl was waking.

Within the chamber were rows of glowing light gently hovering above the floor.

The girl woke slowly, taking her time to stretch out her arms. She opened her eyes to see the tall man waiting patiently for her to rise.

“ Good Morning dear girl, Your turn is coming, you had best prepare.”

The girl was dressed in her own silver robe by a maid, then exited the chamber with Magnus to travel to the great room.

The great hallways seemed to shine like diamonds. Light was in everything from the ceiling to the floors. The smell in the air was that of the freshest flowers. The silver robed guardians their charges traveled through the halls .

The room was large and looked as if there were no end to it. Golds and Silver color swirled across the walls. All of the souls in attendance there lit the great room even more. It was a sea of soft white trimmed with gold and silver.

The large stone balcony went from miles away. Souls were lined up everywhere just waiting for their assignments.

Looking over the balcony, all could be seen. The lives of all the families there to observe, good day and bad.

The girl watched the family she was assigned to and was confused. Why did they fight so much? Always spending time doing other things apart and not with each other. The parents were always working and the child did not see them until late at night. She could feel the son's loneliness. She wasn't sure they liked each other at all. It didn't seem like a place she would want to be.

“Magnus, why must I be born into this family?” the girl asked

“You are going to be brave, dear girl, this family was chosen for you to help you reach your destiny”.

“ How do I know my destiny”?

“ Few know what their destiny is when they are born, you must find it for yourself. During your lifetime.”

“How am I supposed to do that? Do I have to go?”

“ No, you don't have to, you can live in this realm forever if you wish.”

“However, in order to find your destiny you must live, and to live you must be born."

The girl did not know what choice to make. Magnus told her she had three human days to decide. The girl decided to study the family, maybe that would help her decide.

The girl stood at the balcony watching the family and all they did. Going to school, work, having fun, arguing, and getting along.

One night the girl went out to the balcony to watch the boy. He was sad, waiting for his parents again to come home from work after a long day. When the mother got home and saw how sad the boy was she looked very concerned. She spoke to the father when he came home and they decided to talk with their son. They told him that they love him and are always thinking about him even when they're not together. That they must work long hours sometimes to make sure the boy was safe and had everything he needed. The boy told them how he missed them and just wanted to spend more time with them. Once they were done talking everyone in the family felt better. Together the family sat until the son went to sleep, the parents looked relieved that he felt better and went to bed.

After that night they would read a story together and would talk at least for a little while every night.

She watched them be together and thought how nice it seemed. To have others who care so much about each other must be wonderful she thought. Even though the son was once sad, it was ok, because they got through it together.

The next morning Mangus came to check on the girl. He found her watching the family with renewed interest.

“Have you decided?” he asked

The girl turned and looked Magnus in the eyes.

“Yes, I feel I understand them better now. I am ready to go.”
