There weren't always dragons in the valley. The valley that snaked solitary on the planet of Venus, from where most water that once existed had evaporated. Planets are orbiting celestial bodies that exist in the solar system of Earth, where human beings still tend to live. Venus is the second such planet from the Sun; it being the centre of the solar system. Venus was a barren planet for many millennia and inhabitable. Searing hot, dragons found this temperature pleasing and captured Venus’ solitary valley which still had some residual water. Where these dragons came from is still a mystery. Their origin is still a matter of debate.

Humans from Earth, however, had come through outer space to planet Venus as explorers many millennia before the dragons. The Earthlings had seen many advancements in daily existence and space technology. They had shown interest in living on Venus. At first, many of them died and couldn’t bear the heat of the planet. But slowly, a species developed that lived consuming the minerals that had existed in the water found in the valley. These minerals were different from those found on Earth—they were magical. And healing. Humans amassed them in large quantities, hoping to make a potion to cure death.

They could cure any Earthly disease and live in perfect health, the only thing they couldn’t yet defeat was death. They however also developed magical knowledge to become invisible and live in a fifth dimensional world just through their imagination. They wanted to pass on this magical knowledge to their offspring and so they developed a way to store these minerals. Their offspring and generation to come formed a whole kingdom from the minerals of the valley.

The kingdom of “Hospmira”- originated from its depths. The valley was not only solitary but sacred. They worshipped it because it was their source of origin. “Hosp” coming from hospital, “m” from magic and “ra” from rule, Hospmira developed as a Kingdom of magician healers. Roxanne was such a magician healer herself.

Roxanne loved Hospmira. It was her pride and honour. She had magical capabilities in her blood passed down from her parents, grandparents and ancestors. Her grandma had taught her how to make magical potions that would not only keep her in perfect health but would perhaps innovate something new for the Kingdom. She learnt how to solve many magical problems that arose in the functioning of the day to day of the Kingdom. Hospmira being a magical Kingdom existed in the Fifth Dimension.

You couldn’t really see Hospmira on Venus, in the 3D reality. It was a supernatural Spiritual world that you tuned into with your mental senses, your imagination. Hospmira captured humans that came in the name of space exploration and space holidays to Venus. It ruled human minds by using spellbinding potions and enchantments. On Venus, human community was an illusion. Hospmira controlled the minds of all humans who came to Venus, without their knowledge and consent. Anyone coming would be unable to tell other people that they were being controlled; residents couldn’t tell that their minds were not their own.

Each year humans on Earth got reports that the residents on Venus were doing very well by the residents’ head. After controlling their minds, Hospmira changed neural connections in the humans’ brains that plastered a smile on peoples’ faces. This led everyone to believe that these human slaves were always happy, but they had become versions of the robots they had invented back on Earth.

Everything in Hospmira was being done to expand the Kingdom. King and Queen Julius of the Kingdom of Hospmira, Roxanne’s parents, were the eminent figures who ruled Hospmira. Nothing took place without their intention. You see, their ancestors were the pioneers who had established such a Kingdom. They were the first to have found the minerals in the water of the valley, and the first to experiment with them taking the risk of drinking them; just to see what would happen. The rest is history.

How their blood changed from mere human to magician is spellbinding. Their eyes were opened so to speak, and they could see a world in a world. They didn’t need to transform Venus though. Be it physically or even completely. Venus could indeed remain the barren land it had always been. So, no one could suspect someone inhabited the planet. Any humans that came after Hospmira was established, in the name of exploration, were easy bait for the Kingdom, which wanted to control and conquer human minds. Hospmira wanted to build a Servitude of human slaves on Venus under their rule.

In the supernatural, in the 5D, Hospmira was created. Roxanne’s ancestors created a world where they could teleport into the atmosphere, fly in the air in their human bodies, and be invisible; when they wanted to. Hospmira existed in the aura of Venus not in the physical. It existed and didn’t exist at the same time. So not only could they heal themselves but also exist in a supernatural world. The ancestors didn’t want anyone to ever be able to capture Hospmira. It was their pride and honour. That’s why they played with minds. They thought that what they had come up with was utter genius!

Many lives were lost before humans could make their abode on Venus. So, when they acquired magical capabilities, they desired to live forever and expand throughout the entire universe onto different planets. Earth being the first one.

The Kingdom of Hospmira wanted to capture the green planet first, take captive all the humans and convert them into subordinary beings that worked under their supervision. This was the only way they could have labor to do all the grunt work while they ruled and expanded throughout the universe, making their home onto planets and galaxies that were flung far.

How Hospmira got captured by dragons is still shocking to many of the princes and princesses of the Kingdom. The magician healers had thought they had got it made, that nothing could stop them from conquering the Universe one planet at a time. Starting from Earth, they thought, the non-magical humans, it was so easy to control their minds and nothing was going to come in their way. But being captured by dragons was shocking.

Hospmira couldn’t be seen by humans’ natural eyes. It existed in a Spirit world. After the ancestors of Hospmira had made the magical potion with the minerals from the valley, they consumed it. And soon they were no longer just a body. Their blood transformed and they could switch between physical and non-physical—the Spirit. All they had to do was imagine whatever they wanted themselves to do, and they could do.

Once this potion was in their blood and in the blood of their progeny, for several generations, it didn’t need to be taken again to maintain the magical powers. The progeny of several generations had the ability to just switch between the physical reality and the Spiritual— the 3D and the 5D. But the King and Queen of every generation were told of the secret place where the Mega Potion lay in case someone of their kin lost their ability to magical prowess. These Kings and Queens told their offspring upon coming of age, where this potion lay so that when they pass on their Kingdom, all responsibility was well handled. Roxanne was about to be given such responsibility, as she was coming of age, and would become the future Queen.

But Rogelio her cousin brother from her mother’s side, her aunt, was not too fond of Roxanne. He wanted to have her powers; she was always in the limelight. The fact that he was a prince but would never rule Hospmira didn’t sit very well with him. It’s least to say he was terribly jealous of Roxanne. She always knew how to get around any problem in the magical world. Rogelio had for his whole young life, never been given the limelight. He was one year younger than Roxanne, who was now 17 years in human Earth years, though on Venus the age would be far less. The Earth years were used as a standard on Venus as all dealings were done relating to it.

Rogelio had been practicing secretly to make a potion and a spell that allowed to curse another magician to not only strip them off their magical powers but also to curse them to death. A very powerful curse indeed. And the key was that the person after being cursed forgot who cursed them. This protected the one cursing from a revenge and hence fool proofed them.

Rogelio had finally made the potion and the spell called “Curs-a-dom” and wanted to experiment. He chose to do that on some animals that existed on Venus, one of them being a hybrid of a frog and a spider— that looked just like an Earthly frog that leaped but sprouted out webs. He cursed such an animal and found that it always, after many failed attempts, fulfilled the wish of the curse. For example, if he wanted the frog to not leap, it would eventually not leap and have its legs not working. If he wanted it to die, it died. After many tries, Rogelio finally decided to experiment on Roxanne. He knew though, if this failed on her, he will be expelled and banished from the kingdom. But he wanted to take the risk. He was obsessed with getting rid of her. He also added in the curse, that she couldn’t tell anyone she was cursed. That way, in soft agony she would die without anyone being able to rescue her. “Muhahaha” laughed Rogelio in his devilish glory upon coming up with his master plan.

So, one fine day Rogelio found Roxanne alone in the atmospheric mansion of Venus, where usual Kings and Queens of Hospmira resided. Before, Roxanne could turn her back to see who had just teleported into the mansion, Rogelio nervously and repeatedly cursed her several times- “Curs-a-dom”, “Curs-a-dom”, “Errr” “Curs—ssee-a-domm-“. Roxanne, fell unconscious and Rogelio swished himself away in a hurry. He made himself invisible so no one could see him there, and hurriedly vanished from the scene.

When Roxanne opened her eyes, she was in the arms of her mother and her father was looking down at her with concern. “What happened Roxanne?”, they both enquired off of Roxanne in unison. Roxanne could barely remember anything, but she knew deep down within her gut she had been cursed to death. But every time she tried telling it, she couldn’t.

Magicians were still being held in high regard in the Kingdom of Hospmira, even though it had been captured by dragons. The only dragon 🐉 Roxanne mostly cared to think about as much now was the mystical, mythical DejaVu. DejaVu was the ruler and first in command of all the dragons of the valley. From the time DejaVu captured Hospmira, dragons of all kinds started to exist around the kingdom but especially in the valley where they made their abode. The beastly creatures DejaVu controlled under him were all your ordinary fire spitting dragons, some mature, some babies.

But Dejavu himself was something else. He was unique in his look and his powers compared to these ordinary dragons he controlled. Though he was a monster and had captured the very Kingdom Roxanne was a part of, Roxanne had still fallen in love with this beast. How had Roxanne fallen in love with DejaVu? She doesn’t know. She had gulped down a love potion she concocted specially to fall in love with him. It was so because she had to break off that demonic curse that Rogelio had wished upon her, which could’ve eventually led to her death. She had found out that DejaVu had powers that could break age old curses, bad omens, evil eye etcétéra. But she couldn’t remain faithful to him, he’s a monster- a beast! He had captured her very own Kingdom, so of course she was just using him. Everyone in Hospmira knew that she was playing with the monster to get him weak in the knees and get her Kingdom back. What they didn’t know was she was fighting for her life! But does she deserve the following treatment in return for her un loyalty?

Back against the dungeon

walls, she sat, cursing DejaVu

Who stood no chance at love

Again,

Eager to leave this hated place

She awaited her longtime lover

back,

The lover from who DejaVu

wants his revenge.

Timidly she was sitting in a corner of a large dungeon room. It was all dark. “Why did he do this to her,” she asked herself. “It was all going to be short lived anyway, he should’ve known”, “he’s a monster-a dragon for God’s sake and she’s a magician— this could have never worked”. DejaVu had put Roxanne in a dungeon because he found her cheating him with Roxy, a gladiator. Gladiators were strong beings that lived on Earth during the Roman Empire. But the Earth had advanced to a technologically advanced system with Robots and Machines and sending people to outer space for holidays. The Gladiators’ sport however had found a reinventing. Gladiators now fought many battles in an arcade as an entertainment for their people in a scientifically superior way.

Roxanne was forbidden to meet or date any of the humans on Earth. Roxy was one of the few humans who had travelled to Venus as an explorer and before he could become a slave to Hospmira, he fell in love with Roxanne. Roxanne knew how to prevent his mind from being controlled by the magical powers of Hospmira, so she did. No one knew this for some time until their love found a revealing through DejaVu.

Gladiators were ordinary beings otherwise with no magical powers. The Kingdom of Hospmira depended upon two magicians to marry to produce a magician progeny. But Roxy and Roxanne knew they had to take a risk in the name of love. After all there is a price to pay if you’re in love. Even their names Roxy and Roxanne, they had once thought as sweet nothings, had been fatefully decided to sound similar.

Although DejaVu was ruling Venus when Roxy had made his coming on to the planet; DejaVu had never suspected he would be cheated upon. You see the monster was lost deep in love. He thought Roxanne loved him, and never thought she was just using him. You could say he went a little lax on her and didn’t find the affair until it was too late.

You see Deja-vu is partially human too but not in the sense as we perceive human, he only has human blood. But he looks like a monster with snake like tentacles much like an octopus with one large eye. The rest of his body is a gigantic dragon. Only his face and the front of his body is like the octopus and tentacles, but his behind is like a dragon. He has a mouth buried deep within his tentacles and he can sense everything with his snake like arms. He doesn’t look like your ordinary dragon. He is a mutant of a dragon and out of worldly-planetary beast. No one knows his origin. And no one can explain his looks.

But there is a little something about DejaVu one must know—the reason why he is called what he is called-“DejaVu”? It is because when someone looks into the eye of DejaVu they get reminded of a major event they have already experienced in their life. DejaVu possesses this power to take control of people. Once they feel a sense of familiarity with him, they feel comfortable. This is the weakness that DejaVu thrives upon. He takes control of their mind and makes them a slave of his, so they work under him. This is precisely how he captured the Kingdom of Hospmira and now is trying to capture the Earth one human at a time. Many of the magician healers have become prey to DejaVu including Roxanne's parents.

What DejaVu survives on as food is complex as well. DejaVu didn’t want to be like mere humans and animals who are constantly feeding themselves to survive. He takes just a droplet of Naseeb (a tonic drink) every morning to keep him alive and may after some time eternal.

Both the Kingdom of Hospmira and DejaVu want to capture the Earth and make humans their captive, their slave so they can rule and live for eternity capturing one planet upon other. But Kingdom of Hospmira would get captured on its own by dragons, was never thought. DejaVu originated far in the universe. It’s not known if he and his team of dragons originated on a planet or did he come from empty space beyond Earthly galaxy? The way he is formed, it seems something went wrong when humans sent other humans in space. And they interacted with monsters in space and produced the progeny like DejaVu. That seems to be one such explanation for his human blood.

His obsession to capture humans, is some say, he is looking for his long-lost parents, siblings or some family connection. He is obsessed to capture the Earth, not necessarily to make slaves out of humans but to find him his lost self.

We wouldn’t be surprised if he’s also finding love in human form. His obsession to encapsulate all human minds and store their patterns to see if they get reminded of the past in such a way that they get reminded of him, is beyond maddening. For all we know his parents might have died by now or left no siblings. But the connection Déjà-vu is searching among humans is borderline crazy. Sometimes you feel for the monster. And sometimes you don’t. After all, all he is trying to do is find love, the only human quality in his blood that is good. But he also wants revenge, the monster in him wants to torture and kill Roxy- the human that destroyed his one chance at love. Yes, Roxanne wasn’t fully human as DejaVu would have liked but she loved him and that was enough. So, he is also in search for revenge from Roxy.

Roxanne is mad, really mad. But she can do nothing. She’s trapped. She’s bound by these four walls of the dungeon. She can’t get out. She tried to think of the fond memories of the time she spent with Roxy, her one time only love of her life. But the memories come and go and the reality sets in too deep. She can’t fake it that she’s not in a dungeon. She gets ordinary food once a day through a slit to keep her alive. Honestly, she doesn’t know why DejaVu is keeping her alive. “I guess revenge is best taken slowly and softly” she thinks to herself. He wants to cut her deep and painfully. And he sure is being successful. Though she eats what’s been given to her, her eyes are set on, finding Naseeb drink from DejaVu’s lab. Or learning how to make one on her own. That will give her immortality. “Sweet”, she thinks to herself, that’s what is keeping her alive— wanting to find Naseeb and one day meeting her love Roxy again.

Roxanne sleeps yet another night in the dungeon, thinking of the Naseeb drink. Magical thoughts occupy her mind, she thinks whether she can come up with a concoction of sorts herself. After all, she had made several magical potions before. But Naseeb is a very special drink. It’s complex in its chemical structure. It’s made from rare ingredients. Some ingredients have been found in the coral reefs from the ends of the earth. And if Roxanne heard it correctly from DejaVu’s servants in the labs once, he even has some ingredients from as far as other planets. How DejaVu managed to get access to such ingredients is a mystery.

It’s a new dawn for Roxy, he wakes up in tears. He just spent his whole night thinking about Roxanne, his one true love. He wants to get her out of the dungeon. He is trying to come up with a plan to get her out of DejaVu’s clutches. But it’s going to be tough. DejaVu is a mystical creature. There are all kinds of creatures big and small that work for him around the clock to protect his dungeon from outside attacks. There are big ogres, and digital butterflies. These butterflies are much like the natural butterflies you would see on Earth but with digitalized structures built into them. And with Hi-tech cameras that are always doing the rounds of the dungeon to report any suspicious activity to DejaVu. He has many such scientifically advanced instruments and tools to protect his mansion where he lives. And the dungeon where he keeps those, he wants to see rot before his eyes in pain and agony.

Roxy has made up his mind to free Roxanne. He is just in the middle of devising a plan.

DejaVu’s mind is something to talk about. Where humans have a mind full of neural synapses that look much like tree branches in their appearance, DejaVu’s mind is just that but bigger and more intricate. DejaVu needs to store every human’ mental pattern in his mind. Yes, he has a physical organ of a brain, but we are talking about his mind. Which is bigger than him. Once Déjà-vu familiarizes himself with a human’s mind through his big central eye and reminds them of an event they’ve experienced before, he can read of the entire synaptic connection of their brain and stores it in his own. Though his mind has infinite capacity, his brain being only a physical organ doesn’t. So after about 10-20 humans a day DejaVu must make a dump by spitting into a test tube in his lab that gets stored by alphabetical and numerical order to organize all his human captures.

The only humans DejaVu can’t control are human babies. They are immature and unshaped, undefined up-to an age of adulthood. They just don’t t have enough neural connections and memories that DejaVu could harp on. The only ones who can destroy him, who hold the powers against him are babies.
