This happened to me 7 years ago. I just turned 15 and my parents took me to my grandparents house. I remember this moment very vividly. We were having an amazing birthday party for me. I received some gifts and that was awesome. The night fell and my grandpa was telling me a story about Déjà Vu. He was telling me how our ancestors and he had this problem of seeing things more than twice and they couldn't differentiate between reality and dream. I was taking it as a joke. My grandpa told me one more thing. "If you are ever confused about where you are, find mirrors. If you can find mirrors it means it is reality. But if you don't that means you are still asleep." I asked him what am I supposed to do with this information. "This story was told to me by mother on how one of her brother was in coma for 12 years. And when he woke up he couldn't tell if he was sleeping or was awake. I know this is confusing but look son, we still don't know other consequences of Déjà Vu." I told him I will keep it in mind. I soon went to bed. "Déjà Vu, coma, what nonsense. I should get some sleep." I soon went to sleep. I woke up in all sweat and saw no one at home. I searched every place for everyone but couldn't find them. Soon everything my grandpa said came to my mind. Suddenly I heard a voice from up top "Wake up Wren. Wren wake up". I look up and see no one. Now I was scared to my death. I was able to hear some more voices. "Get aside I'll try to help him." That was my grandpa's voice. I was crying and creaming on top of my lungs. What he said was true. Scared that I won't be able to wake up. I felt lonely, helpful. "Wren don't give up. I know you can do this. Calmly breathe and think. Try to reach to my voice. Wren don't give up." These words gave me hope. I thought about following the voice and reached outside of a house. I climbed up the house and say a huge white hole. "Is this where I go? What if I am not able to go? Ah shit I will go." And I jumped out of the whole. I woke up in my body. I was relieved and saw my family with me hugging and everything. I looked up to my grandpa with tears in his eyes. I felt like he saved me from everything. I have not had any experience like that since that. But I am prepared if I do happen to get in this situation.
