"Are you okay?" his secretary asked.
"Um, yeah. I'm amazing," he said.
"Well, you sounded like you were dying."
"No, the opposite of that. I never felt more alive."
The bright sunshine looked inviting through the window. He opened it.
"What about you?" he asked. "We good?"
She looked away.
"Colder outside than I thought," she muttered. "Colder than it has been lately. Not as warm as the bright blue sky made me think."
"Things don't always go the way you expect." He smiled.
"True," she said. "No one would've expected this."
"I don't think my wife would be surprised."
