The first step I took made my unborn child light up for joy, and that was when I got to understand that my unborn child wanted us out of that dungeon.
I ran as far as my leg could carry me. Two years of my life were wasted. The memories of how Nitto and I met came rushing down my head as I ran with all my strength.
"Mia, I love you, and that's what matters. I don't care about parents. I'm only going to spend the rest of my life with the woman I love," Nitto said.
At that moment, all I saw was a young man who was in love. A young man who was willing to go to any lengths for me. I accepted the fact that the parents don't like me. I made up my mind to spend my life with Nitto, overlooking everything that I was going to deal with.
Surprisingly for me, after our wedding, he took me to his parents house and broke the news to me that he wanted to travel out of the country. He persuaded me that he was going to come back to me.
"How do you want me to live, Ny" My face paled like a woman who just lost her husband.
"I promise to come back for you, please" He pleaded
I did like an understanding wife by yielding to what my husband wanted, even though it was not all from my heart. After some time, my husband's mother called me one night.
"This is your husband," she said, pointing at a guy on a wheel chair. [my supposed husband's brother] Nitto only pretended and married you for his brother; this is the real Nitto, not the one you know.
I was taken aback; my heart almost explored. What am I hearing?
"You are a Christian, and you can't back out," the mother said to me. I couldn't say a word as I angrily left the scene. I tried processing the whole thing, but I couldn't. And there was no way I could escape from the house, as there were security and CCTV cameras everywhere.
This is the problem of getting married into a rich family. I looked at where love had landed me. "What should I do? That was the big question in my head.
I locked myself up for weeks, but hunger brought me out of my room after . I decided to be happy in the big mansion.
I pretended to have accepted the real cripple Nitto as my husband. I learned to be happy. After some time, the mother insisted we use the same bedroom in order to give her grandchildren.
My fear was noticeable, as it was written all over my face. Why will I have intercourse with someone I don't love? I looked at the crippled Nitto guy; he looks innocent, and handsome.
"I'm sorry" He said when I wheeled him inside the room
I wanted to scream at him, but I held myself. "It doesn't change anything, okay?
"I know and that why I am apologizing on behave of my brother mother" He said innocently with his lovely voice.
And that was how we started living together. One faithful day, I woke up, and every part of me ached. I opened my eyes slowly, and Nitto was sitting on his wheel chair close to his window.
I looked around the bed, and I noticed I wasn't wearing anything. I hurriedly opened the buffet to check, and behold, it was what I thought.
What happened? I screamed
Nito! What did you do?
"You are my wife for crying out loud," he replied.
"A wife you didn't have the courage to approach? I asked with a disgruntled stare. Just then, the mother walked in.
"Yes, you are his wife, and you guys are bound to do these things together. It's not a sin," she said.
I looked at the mother and son, and I couldn't cry as all the tears in my eyes had dropped off within a few minutes. I remember how he apologized the other night and gave me a drink of reconciliation without knowing he was plotting another evil. I cried my heart out for allowing myself to be deceived twice. How many more to go? was the question I kept asking myself.
Two weeks after the incident, I noticed my body system had changed. I sleep a lot. We had to call the family doctor for a checkup, and unfortunately for me, I was pregnant.
That day, I cried through out the night. I wanted to just kill myself, but I looked at my parents. What kind of union is this?
I hit my leg on a stone, and the pain jolted me back to reality. I stopped to take a rest, and just then I heard a voice I never wished to hear.
What fate awaits I and my child?
