Daughter’s Reward
Father’s wisdom to check his children’s love for him
The house was crowded with mourners. Marcus had three sons and one daughter. They had also come for their father’s funeral.
When the funeral was about to be taken to the cemetery, an old man entered, and he said that Marcus owed him a debt and that he would not allow the burial until the debt was paid.
The three sons flatly refused, but the daughter promised to clear the entire debt.
The man then recited Marcus’s will, according to which children willing to pay off the debt should be given Marcus’s 20 million.
Only the daughter’s claims were valid.
