Coping with Parental Loss Through Memories!
How parental death shapes our life and grief
When you lose your parents, it’s like a big wave of memories that will never come back. It’s hard to understand that grief why your pretty paper boat is gone when you’re young. Why did it sink?
It was not just a boat; it was the family tree that disappeared from the garden of this world. You are not only missing the shade, fruits, and benefits of that tree that nourished you; it’s more like missing who they were.
Imagine the sound of your mother like a favourite song you can’t hear again. You miss how your father loved and cared for you like a cozy blanket of memories. It requires emotional resilience.
A parent’s death is also like a storybook that suddenly ends. You miss the parts they played and the chapters you thought you’d write together. Their laughter and presence were like colourful flowers in your life’s garden, and now it feels a bit empty.
During this period of parental loss and grief, it is vital to recollect the memories they left behind and find comfort in the love they shared.
They gave understanding and comfort as a trusted umbrella on rainy days. Their care and love stay with you like a strong scent that never goes away.
I wrote it with the love, care, and memories of my parents that stay in my heart. And while writing, my father’s constant sound is in my thoughts: Ameer, improve your handwriting!
