I stared at her through the glass, pleading with my eyes but she looked at me as if I were a stranger. Like she had never touched me. Like she had never loved me.
Tears clouded my vision as she turned away, walking out of my life. A single drop hit the paper in front of me, the sound so loud it resonated in my chest.
There was only one thing left to do.
Unblinking, I took the pen in my hand and watched as it moved across the tear-stained paper.
I, Shawn Williams, confess to murder.
