“What happened,” Clara mumbled. Her eyes had yet to focus on her surroundings before she realized—she was moving quite fast.
The rumbling wheels beneath her hit every bump and rock as they hurled down the tracks towards a destination unknown. She was no longer standing in the dressing room of Zinnia’s Classic Cloaks.
The last thing Clara remembered was tripping over a display-trunk and falling through a series of curtains. Now, she clung to the dew-stained windows, pressing her face against the glass in a last-ditch effort to see where she was; clearly—this was not a dream.
