BELLAMY KNOX: Also there’s no need to yell.

DOVIE ABBOTT: But you literally yelled back at us?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I literally just said that. I literally hate you.

Bellamy and Oakley arrive at the front door.

OAKLEY UPTOWN: I brought your stuff, Freya.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Thank you!

BELLAMY KNOX: Here’s all of your shit!

DOVIE ABBOTT: Why am I even dating you? First you freaking cheat on me and now your treating me like absolute garbage.

BELLAMY KNOX: Did you find the key?

DOVIE ABBOTT: Does it look like we found the key? Fucking dumbass

BELLAMY KNOX: I was asking Freya.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Can you guys not start your shit, again? For fucks sakes, No, we didn’t find it. Let me call Jared really quick. Maybe he forgot to leave a key or something. Bellamy, Dovie, Behave!

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Who’s Jared?

BELLAMY KNOX: Yeah, for real. Who the hell is this Jared dude and what makes him so special to get a call from you?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Jared is the owner...

Freya walks towards the CORNER of the HOUSE dialing a number of her PHONE. Phones DIAL TONE rings three times before someone answers.

FREYA HAWTHORNE (CONT’D): H-hello?

JARED IRVING (V.O.): Hello, is everything okay?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Hello sir, yeah everything is fine, except we can’t find the key to get inside the house. You said you left it under the door mat? By the front door?

JARED IRVING (V.O.): Yes, I put it under the door mat by the front door. It’s not there?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: No, sir.

JARED IRVING (V.O.): Strange. Okay. Go into town and grab some food or groceries or something and I’ll meet you there in about an hour or two to bring you a key.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Okay. Thank you sir. I saw a diner coming into town. We’ll meet you there, if that works for you.

JARED IRVING (V.O.): That works for me. See you in about an hour or two.

Freya walks back to the others.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: So he said he'll meet us in town to give us another key for the house. He suggested we go eat or get some groceries but I told them we would just meet them at the diner. So, lets repack up the vehicle and head back into town.

DOVIE ABBOTT: Are you fucking serious? This is so stupid. I don’t want to. Man, this shit fucking blows, dude! I wanted to go swim or something. Can I just stay here?

FREYA HAWTHORNE You want to stay here? In the woods? With the bugs and snakes and animals? Alone?

Dovie, deep in thought for a minute, walks towards the VEHICLE. Bellamy and Zella follow with LUGGAGE.

FREYA HAWTHORNE (CONT’D): She’s such a drama queen. We’ve got so much time to swim this week.

Freya and Oakley look at each other then walk to VEHICLE with LUGGAGE.

EXT. THE VEHICLE - AFTERNOON

Bellamy and Oakley put luggage in trunk of vehicle. Freya, Zella, and Dovie get into vehicle, same spots as before.

Bellamy and Oakley get in vehicle. Vehicle reverses and drives away from house.

EXT. THE CABIN / HOUSE - AFTERNOON

Claudia Ashford walks back towards the HOUSE with the DEAD ANIMAL. Claudia Ashford sees VEHICLE leaving, runs to side of house, puts dead animal on ground, and waits for vehicle to be out of sight.

Claudia Ashford proceeds toward front door, leaving animal on side of house. Claudia Ashford unlocks front door then puts KEY under DOOR MAT, and enters HOUSE.

EXT. THE DINER - EVENING

VEHICLE parks in front of DINER. Zella, Dovie Abbott , Bellamy Knox, Oakley Uptown, and Freya Hawthorne get out.

ZELLA CHADWICK: This place is cute!

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I thought so too on the way through the first time!

DOVIE ABBOTT: You guys think this place is cute?

FREYA HAWTHORNE Don’t finish that.

Wrapping her arms around Dovie's.

FREYA HAWTHORNE (CONT’D): Let’s try being nice this week. yeah?

DOVIE ABBOTT: I’ll try. Just for you Freya!

INT. THE DINER - EVENING

They walk in and are immediately GREETED by a server, ALEX (25), in a country accent. There are about half of the TABLES occupied by other guests.

ALEX: Hi! y’all can sit where eva you want and I’ll be right there.

They choose to sit in a BOOTH. Alex grabs 5 MENUS and greets them at the table.

ALEX (CONT’D): Hello, My name is Alex, I'm your server today. What can I get y’all to drink?

BELLAMY KNOX: We’ll all start will a water.

They all look at him.

DOVIE ABBOTT: I would like an iced tea, please. Thank you.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Yeah, I would like a coffee and a water please.

OAKLEY UPTOWN: I also would like a cup of coffee and water.

ALEX: And for you, darlin’?

ZELLA CHADWICK: Oh, water is fine with me. Thank you.

ALEX: Are we ready to order or do we need a minute?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I think we need a minute. Thank you!

Alex walks off to get their drinks.

FREYA HAWTHORNE (CONT’D): Hey Bellamy, don’t order for me...ever again. I can handle it my self, but thanks.

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Yeah, dude, what the hell was that?

DOVIE ABBOTT: I’m still pissed about this Claire bitch...whoever she is.

Alex comes back with their drinks.

BELLAMY KNOX: We are not doing this again, Dove. The last thing I need is Freya bitting our heads off for fighting...again.

DOVIE ABBOTT: Whatever.

ALEX: Are... you... guys ready to order?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I think so.

Freya looks around at everyone, they all agree that they’re ready.

ALEX: What can I get started for y'all today?

BELLAMY KNOX Do you want to eat?

DOVIE ABBOTT: DO YOU NOT CARE THAT I’M UPSET? LIKE WHY AM I EVEN DATING YOU? YOU NEVER CARE ABOUT MY FEELINGS. YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT ME ANYMORE.

FREYA HAWTHORNE Oh my, I’m sorry. Can you give us just another minute or two?

Alex walks off.

FREYA HAWTHORNE (CONT’D): DOVIE, SHHHH! Get ahold of yourself. We are in public. What is wrong with you. Jesus.

BELLAMY KNOX: I literally just asked if you wanted to eat.

DOVIE ABBOTT: No, I don’t. Do you think I’m fat?

BELLAMY KNOX: What? No? Why would you think...

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Can you two either stop or fucking take it outside? I’m sick of listening to it.

DOVIE ABBOTT: How can you ask me to stop when the person who is supposed to be my rock is crushing me?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Okay. Dovie, come with me. If the sever comes back before we get back, I want the veggie omelet without onions, hash browns, and sourdough toast.

ZELLA CHADWICK: Breakfast for dinner?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Yes!

Freya PULLS Dovie by the ARM to a BENCH outside.

EXT. THE DINER - EVENING

Dovie and Freya are SITTING on a BENCH outside the DINER conversing.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Dovie, are you okay?

DOVIE ABBOTT: I don’t know. I don’t think he loves me anymore.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: What makes you say that?

DOVIE ABBOTT: The fact that he keeps looking at you.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: No, he’s not doing that.

DOVIE ABBOTT: Yes, he is, Freya Hawthorne . He looks at you the way he used to look at me. Aside from the way he looks at you, he cheated on me. I can’t be with someone who cheats on me.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I think you should wait before making any serious decisions until after the trip so you can meet Claire. Try to have a good time and don’t worry about me. I won’t let anything jeopardize your relationship. Maybe Bellamy will let you talk to her on the phone or facetime Claire sometime this week? Maybe that will help calm some nerves to see what kind of person she it?

DOVIE ABBOTT: I don’t know, Freya. I guess I could try. I will talk to Bellamy and see what we can come up with. Do you swear on your life that you won’t do anything to come between Bellamy and I?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Yes, Dove. I won’t do anything.

DOVIE ABBOTT: You have to swear. On your life.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Okay fine. I swear on my life that I won’t do anything. Are you feeling better now?

DOVIE ABBOTT: A little. Thanks Freya.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I’m here for you, Dove. Whenever you need me.

Freya and Dovie WALK back.

INT. THE DINER - EVENING

Dovie and Freya RETURN to the table as Alex ARRIVES with the FOOD.

ALEX: Here y’all go. Is there anything else I can get y’all? No? Okay! Y’all enjoy!

FREYA HAWTHORNE: hey, could we get some drink refills and our checks please?

ALEX: Absolutely darlin. Is it gunna be togetha or separate?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: All separate, please.

BELLAMY KNOX: Her and I are together.

ALEX: Okay, I will be right back with those drinks and checks. Do we want those drinks for here or ta go?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I’ll take mine to go, please. Thank

you.

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Mine too please.

DOVIE ABBOTT: Same for me.

ZELLA CHADWICK: I’m okay. Thank you.

Jared WALKS in the DOOR of the DINER, sees Freya, and walks to their table.

JARED IRVING: Are you guys ready?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Just about. We’re about to pay and then we’ll be set. Here, pull up a chair.

JARED IRVING: No, it’s all good. I’ve got some phone calls to make. Meet me outside.

Jared EXITS the diner. Alex watches him, confused, as he walks past her.

ALEX: Did that fine sir want anything?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I don’t think so.

ALEX: Oh okay. Well, here ya go. y’all will pay up front. Thanks for coming in today and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.

Alex walks away from the table.

FREYA HAWTHORNE Ready to go?

Freya STANDS up from the TABLE and WALKS to the CASHIER COUNTER. Bellamy, Dovie, Zella, and Oakley follow her.

ALEX: How was everythang?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Good!

ALEX: Good! Cash or card? Card? Okay. Your total is going to be $13.78, darlin.

Alex takes CARD, swipes it, and hands it back.

ALEX (CONT’D): If ya could sign here please darlin’. Thank ya for coming in. We hope ta see ya again soon!

Freya WALKS out of the DINER and meets up with Jared.

ALEX (CONT’D): How was everythang?

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Good!

ALEX: Good! Cash or card? Card? Okay. Your total is going to be $14.26, darlin.

Alex takes CARD, swipes it, and hands it back.

ALEX (CONT’D): If ya could sign here please darlin’. Thanks for coming. We hope ta see ya again soon!

Oakley WALKS out of the DINER and meets up with Jared and Freya.

ALEX: How was everythang?Okay. $11.54.

ZELLA CHADWICK: It was lovely.

ALEX: Great! Cash or card? cash? Your total is going to be darlin. Out of $20, okay.

Alex takes CASH, counts it and hands back $9.46.

ALEX: Here ya go, darlin’. Thanks for comin. Come again soon!

Zella WALKS out of the DINER and meets up with the others.

ALEX: How was everythang? Okay. $26.90. Cash or card? Card? great!

Alex takes CARD, swipes it and hands it back.

Bellamy and Dovie WALK out of the DINER and meet up with the others.

EXT. THE DINER - EVENING

The students and the owner are DISCUSSING their next PLAN for RETURNING to the HOUSE and UNLOCKING the FRONT DOOR.

JARED IRVING: Is everyone here?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Yes, this is everyone.

JARED IRVING: Perfect. You guys can follow me back to the house and then when we get there, I will unlock the door for you. ...Maybe I accidentally locked the key inside the house, although I specifically recall putting it under the mat in front of the door. ... Just follow me to the house.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Okay. Hey guys, let’s go.

All walking to vehicle.

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Hey Freya, Can I drive?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Yeah...no.

All GETTING into VEHICLE.

INT. THE VEHICLE - EVENING

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Why not? I’m a good driver!

Freya REVERSING VEHICLE.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Tell that to the reckless driving tickets you have from wrecking your own vehicles. No.

Freya PUTTING VEHICLE in DRIVE.

OAKLEY UPTOWN: That was like 2 years ago. My driving has improved!

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I like the fight your putting up, but you’re going to lose!

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Damn!

BELLAMY KNOX: Good try, old Sport!

EXT. THE CABIN / HOUSE - DUSK

Two VEHICLES pull into the DRIVEWAY of the HOUSE. Jared gets out of one vehicle and WALKS to the front door. Freya gets out of the other vehicle.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Stay here until the door is unlocked. Okay?

Freya CLOSES the DOOR and WALKS to Jared. Jared LIFTS the FRONT DOOR MAT. He see’s a KEY.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: That wasn’t there before, I swear. You can ask any of them. They didn’t see it either.

JARED IRVING: Well, it’s there now so here you go.

Jared HANDS Freya the KEY.

JARED IRVING: Are we all good here?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I-I think so.

JARED IRVING: Okay great. Well, then I’m going to head out. If something comes up or if something happens to the house, let me know. And when you leave at the end of the week, put the key back under the mat.

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Okay. Will do. Thank you, Sir.

Jared walks back to his VEHICLE. Freya walks to the TRUNK of the VEHICLE. Oakley PEEKS his HEAD out. Jared DRIVES away from the HOUSE.

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Are we good to go?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Yeah, come on!

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Guys, lets go.

Everyone gets OUT of the VEHICLE and GATHERS their LUGGAGE from the TRUNK of the vehicle. They all ENTER through the front door.

INT. ENTRYWAY - DUSK

All the students ENTER the HOUSE. Dovie DROPS all of her BAGS by the FRONT DOOR. Freya puts VEHICLE KEYS on KITCHEN COUNTER.

DOVIE ABBOTT: Carrying all of that is exhausting. Babe, could you get that for me?

Bellamy Knox looks at her then grabs her bags. They all walk around the house and find the hallway where the bedrooms are.

INT. HALLWAY - DUSK

BELLAMY KNOX: Oooh! Sick! Dibs on the master!

FREYA HAWTHORNE: You’re so stupid, dude.

They all enter a room with their luggage. Freya in BEDROOM 2, Zella in BEDROOM 3, Oakley in BEDROOM 4 and Bellamy and Dovie in MASTER.

INT. BEDROOM 2 - DUSK

Freya SETS her LUGGAGE on the FLOOR by her BED then looks around at the DECOR on the WALLS.

INT. BEDROOM 3 - DUSK

Zella SETS her LUGGAGE on the BED and begins UNPACKING her bags.

INT. LIVING ROOM - DUSK

Claudia enters with DEAD ANIMAL from BACK DOOR and WALKS to KITCHEN.

INT. BEDROOM 4 - DUSK

Oakley DROPS his BAG on the GROUND by the DOOR then LEAVES to LIVING ROOM.

INT. MASTER - DUSK

Bellamy SETS all of their LUGGAGE by the FOOT of the BED. Dovie follows Bellamy into the room.

DOVIE ABBOTT: Hey, can we talk?

BELLAMY KNOX: Can we please not fight? We just got there.

DOVIE ABBOTT: I don’t want to fight either. I just want to talk.

BELLAMY KNOX: What did you and Freya talk about at the diner?

DOVIE ABBOTT: ...We talked about how I feel like you don’t love me anymore because of the way you look at her and because of Claire.

BELLAMY KNOX: What way? I don’t look at her in a special way.

DOVIE ABBOTT: You do and what’s worse is you don’t see it. You look at her the way you use to look at me. ...When we started dating. She also said I should ask you if there was a possibility that I could call or facetime Claire. Just to see what she’s like as a person.It doesn’t have to be right now. Just sometime this week.

BELLAMY KNOX: Yeah, you can call Claire. Dovie, I have no feelings for Freya. Only you.

DOVIE ABBOTT: You don’t?

BELLAMY KNOX: No. Only you.

Bellamy and Dovie SIT on the BED for a few minutes.

DOVIE ABBOTT: I’m going to go see what everyone else is doing. Come with me?

Dovie HOLDS her HAND out to him, he takes it.

INT. HALLWAY - NIGHT

Freya EXITS their ROOM first, WALKING towards LIVING ROOM. Zella EXITS their ROOM second, WALKING to LIVING ROOM. Bellamy and Dovie EXIT their ROOM last, WALK to LIVING ROOM.

INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Oakley is SITTING on the COUCH in the living room as everyone else enters.

ZELLA CHADWICK: What are you watching?

OAKLEY UPTOWN: Huh? Oh, I’m watching Cabin in the Woods, I think.

ZELLA CHADWICK: Oh, what’s it about?

OAKLEY UPTOWN: I don’t really know. I think it’s about a group of friends who go on a summer vacation. That’s just what I’ve gathered so far.

Bellamy, Zella, and Dovie SIT in the LIVING ROOM. Freya WALKS to the KITCHEN.

ZELLA CHADWICK: Freya , where are you going?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: To get a drink. Want something?

ZELLA CHADWICK: What’s here?

Zella FOLLOWS Freya to the KITCHEN.

INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT

Freya is STARTLED by Claudia standing in the kitchen.

FREYA HAWTHORNE Who are you?

Claudia, STARTLED, turns around, FACING Freya.

CLAUDIA ASHFORD: Oh, I’m the...I’m the housekeeper. Yup. I’m the housekeeper and you can call me Dia.

Zella walks up next to Freya.

ZELLA CHADWICK Oh, Who’s this?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: This is the housekeeper...She said her name was Dia.

ZELLA CHADWICK: Oh...Okay. Well, Hello! What is there to drink around here?

CLAUDIA ASHFORD: To drink...there is...water and...water I guess. I can go to the store tomorrow and grab some things.

ZELLA CHADWICK: Okay sweet!

CLAUDIA ASHFORD: Do either of you want food? I’m making rabbit

FREYA HAWTHORNE: Oh. No, I’m good, but thank you.

ZELLA CHADWICK: I’m also good!

CLAUDIA ASHFORD: Do your friends want any?

FREYA HAWTHORNE: I doubt it but we can ask.

Freya and Zella go to LEAVE the KITCHEN when a PHONE RINGS. They both check their phones. It’s not theirs. Freya STOPS. Zella keeps walking.

FREYA HAWTHORNE (CONT’D): I think your phone is ringing.

CLAUDIA ASHFORD: my phone? oh okay!
